La Mexicanada Restaurante Bradford a feel of Mexico in the heart of Bradford 100% Mexican own and operated
I guess it's safe to assume that this place is now run by a different owner. I hadn't been in quite some time so my wife and I took our newborn and had some dinner. I was a huge fan if you read my previous review, but I guess nothing stays the same, as is the case here. To be fair, the atmosphere is very much the same, the menu is the same, the drinks are the same. So, what's different ? I can only tell you my experience, and it's always the little stuff that begins a slide in quality. I ordered the crunchy taco's, the filling was very good, but the taco shell itself was stale. It really took away from the whole dinner. You wouldn't think such a small thing would amount to so much, but it made an otherwise enjoyable dinner, and made me think about whether or not I would return. I understand that as an owner, you need to watch your expenses, but carrying over yesterdays shells did not win you favour in my book. I might come in again, I might not, but think from your customers point of view and they will always come back.

Hot Stacks has become our go to place for brunch on our way to Algonquin Park.
The menu is extensive- SO much choice especially in the breakfast items! Food is well prepared and portions are huge! My favourite is Eggs Benedict with THREE eggs and thick slices of peameal on English muffins topped with creamy Hollandaise and melted cheese. It is served with home fries and a fresh fruit cup. Our other entree was a Reuben with piles of pastrami, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese stuffed between slices of marble rye and served with a side salad.
Even when it’s busy, service is great - LOTS of coffee which is appreciated if there is a bit of a wait.
As on previous visits, cleanliness continues to be an issue and prevents an excellent rating! The condition of the washroom is simply unpleasant!

I visit Big Momma's for Takeout and have a brew while I wait. Their Ox Tail, Jerk Chicken and Their doubles are outstanding. Never can get enough of their collards and rice too. They have a full service restaurant also to experience.
Cutomer service great.
This is a cash business so make sure you bring cash with ya.

The IronHorse Cookstown offers an excellent variety of Food and Entertainment.
The Iron Horse has possibilities but, the location leaves something to be desired. Pity that it's right at an intersection on a road which is loaded with trucks - the kind that have to gear down to stop then gear up to go!!! NOISY!! Although the patio is comfortable, it's squashed between three buildings so there's no such thing as cross ventilation. Food was OK but, nothing special. That's my point of view!!

I tried various dishes at the restaurant also had a Delivery for my son's birthday party. Everybody loved the food. It's always fresh, great taste! The portions are big. It's not expensive. The restaurant is clean, the family is very friendly. It's our favorite restaurant in town! I recommend it to everybody!

This was the third time my husband and I visited. We've tried different things from the menu each time.
The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly. The menu is an interesting looking collection of southern dishes. The reality is that each dish is more simple than you'd expect from the description. The food is good but not particularly exciting. The sweet teas and desserts are always delicious though.
The servers are always friendly and helpful. We'll likely keep visiting at intervals for a casual night out.

Our family of six stopped here for lunch on a hot Friday in late May. It's a small restaurant but the friendly wait staff very quickly put two tables together for us so we could sit together. And they quickly provided some colouring activities for the kids. The menu is very typical of small town restaurants, but delicious with large portions. After we'd eaten, the owner sent out a nice complimentary plate of watermelon.... so nice on a hot day (although it was cool enough in the restaurant). There is ample parking with their small side parking area and along the adjoining wide streets. We'd stop here again.

When you're looking for a good breakfast - Sunset Grill is a reasonable place to go. Service was good, food was good (served fresh and hot) and reasonably priced. We'll be back.
