This is a traditional small, local, fast-food restaurant near the main plaza. The specialty is the paisa arepa, which you can order with different toppings options. The arepa is authentic (not common in a fast-food restaurant). I was not a fan of the chorizo they have, nor the burgers (tried it once), but is very good for the price, still. This a family-owned business, a easy, good stop for a bite if you are in a hurry.

We came during a holiday weekend, which made the town busy. They were unprepared, understaffed, very slow to bring drinks. The burger meat was dry and flavorless. We ended up giving the meat to homeless dogs in town.Points go to the appetizer called Mazorcada.Hi, sorry for the late answer. We are so sorry your experience was that bad, since march 2018 is running the place a new owner and we have new recipies. We hope you come again to Villa de Leyva and give a second chance to the place, you won't regret it!

I just happened upon this place one afternoon while looking for a good lunch spot. Villa de Leyva is pretty easy for vegans, but the vegan burger at Pepa Pimienta deserves a special commentâtruly delicious. The burger is a mix of plant-based proteins smothered in sautéed veggies with a side of potatoes and a nice selection of condiments. I also enjoyed the pineapple juice with fresh mint. The service is friendly and prompt, nice decor, highly recommended.

Actually we were not really in the mood for pizza, but since most other vegetarian-friendly places were somehow closed that day, we gave it a try and were happy there were cheese and vegetable pizzas on the menu. And even though it was maybe not the best pizza I have ever eaten, it was pretty good and very tasty. Good value.The place is pretty small and packed which makes it somehow cozy.Gracias por su comentario. Esperamos tenerlo de regreso en nuestro local. Fue un gusto atenderlo.

As a new resident here in Villa de Leyva, Iâm always in the look for good, not pricy, tasty food. Today I tried their Vegetarian Cannelloni in Béchamel sauce. Garlic breat and white wine!!! Right portion for me, Iâm not a heavy eater. Quiet atmosphere, good ambiance and fair price!

The vegetarian was great and filling. The Bolognese was bigger than the usual ones and both served streaming hot. The Bolognese one was a bit to "runny" in my opinion but tasted great.Why only four stars then? The dining room is without atmosphere and has the charm of a cafeteria. The cutlery is very flimsy and the knife cuts into your hand.We did not have pizzas but as far as I could see they came from a real wood fired oven.

We were here in low season, so the atmosphere was a bit lacking. It might be totally different in high season. The burgers were not great, but not bad either. Prices are low, we paid 50.000 for two burgers and two beers, not bad at all for Villa de Leyva.Thank you very much for the comment. Every time we assemble a hamburger, we think about the experience that our guests can have. We are very proud of the generous comments of our guests.
