Love the restaurant, great atmosphere, great drinks, great food most of the time. Recently have raised their prices, afraid it may cost them some business. too many cooks in the kitchen lately, food is not consistently prepared. I hope they improve this problem.

We were pulling a long trailer south on Highway 61 and pulled into this restaurant because there was room to turn it around and park. We were there at 12;20 pm on Saturday 10/7/17. There was folks in line, but they kept you moving and the food was coming out reasonably fast. I got the $5 1/3lb Double Cheese Lunch special. it comes with a 1/3lb cheese burger, fries, Medium drink and a Sundae or cone. Plenty of food for the price and the burger was freshly made with Hot Crispy Fries. Its going to be on my "Must Stop Spot" from now on !!

Saints Avenue Cafe

Stopped here on our way home because we love diners and cafes. Walked in and whoa! Many, many older people. Must be a very congenial place, which was verified when the waitresses called the customers by name. The wait staff were very friendly, handling everything with a smile.

But oh my, the temperature was freezing! Be sure and bring a sweater or jacket. And the noise level was extremely loud. We had a tiny table and could barely hear ourselves across from each other. I believe the configuration of the rooms contributed to this. This is not what we have come to know as a cafe--small, intimate eating places--but a full-size restaurant having several rooms, a plethora of tables, a large buffet and more.

The food--well, I had the club sandwich and my boyfriend had a cheeseburger. The proportions were those American extremes--huge plates of food that you couldn't finish if you tried. The French fries were good, but my sandwich came with no mayonnaise of any kind, a staple of any club sandwich I've ever eaten. The bread layers were very thick and it was hard to choke a bite down because it was all quite dry. The waitress brought me one packet of mayo which helped, but there just was too much thick bread there. The sandwich was cut in four, and each section was a full-sized sandwich, so be prepared. They did not have any hamburger below mammoth size, and we wished we would have ordered one meal and split it.

Most people were going to the buffet bar, which looked to have a good selection, plus a dessert bar. The price for that was I think $11-12. Regular menu items weren't priced overly out of line when you looked at the menu, and when you got your huge plate of food, you realized you were actually getting more than you paid for.

Would we go back? No, because being frozen with aching ears, and paying for huge plates of food that we couldn't finish is not our style. But obviously many people didn't mind that, so try it and see for yourself.

Adults and children will love this shop! It's great chocolate for anniversaries, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. Or just treat yourself and your kids with a special treat! Bowling Green is a small town with only a DQ. Instead of doing the norm, splurging and eating chocolate turtles and other items, would make a very good memory with children. It's clean and professional with quality staff!

This little white brick building will not catch your eye but the food and staff will catch your stomach. Very clean and bright interior, booth and table seating. We have had dinner and breakfast here. Dinner was very good, even had complimentary ice cream for dessert. Service was timely and pleasant. Had breakfast this morning, delicious home made gigantic pancakes, I could not finish mine as they were accompanied by 2 big scrambled eggs and bacon. Coffee was refilled frequently. This restaurant offers excellent service, is clean and offers great meals. We will be returning.

I eat here often and the food is always good. In fact I have eaten at several "Chinese" restaurants and keep coming home to the Lucky Star.

My wife and I visited The Waffle & Pancake House in Charleston on a Friday night. I had the AYCE Friday Fish Special, my wife had the Turkey Club sandwich. The meal was excellent, both dishes were fresh and tasty. This restaurant is highly recommended for breakfast as well. If you’re looking for a hometown breakfast, lunch or dinner this establishment is where you need to visit. The friendly and attentive staff will definitely leave you satisfied.

We were there for a late lunch and had burgers, chicken sandwhich, and patty melt. All of the sandwiches were very good, salads were fresh and the french fries were good. Service was excellent but it was very slow that afternoon about 6 six weeks ago.

Starting with the positives...servers were friendly, and something I haven't seen at other locations...an emplyee, in front of the counter who double checked our order. On the negative side, and I'm sure this is temporary, a large, ugly dumpster sits aside the side entrance.

This subway is clean and a pleasant place to eat at. The help is polite and assemble a good sandwich. Watch for big sign after turning off hwy 61 heading north. Located in a stretch of 6 businesses.
