The view over the bay is calming and panoramic but, surprisingly, the food almost matches the vista.
Consider, however, how far the ingredients, except for the yummy oysters and some fish, have to travel over the magnificently scenic but demanding Chuckanut drive, and you will have a new found respect for what you are served from the uncluttered menu options.
Well worth a stop, even for the lightest of repasts.

My wife and stopped by for a couple of cookies for the drive back home and we weren't disappointed. I went for the large( gigantic?) ginger cookie. Crispy and sharp tasting. There was a lime polenta cake as well that we will have after dinner.
The amazing sticky buns were on display on the top shelf, really tempting.
The baker was working behind the counter hand squeezing some lemons for yet another treat.

As we were getting out of our vehicle, what appeared to me to be a "local" was just getting of her car next to us. I asked for her recommendation and she immediately pointed us towards Joy's Bakery as opposed to the other place across the street. And boy of boy, did she call it! Very open and pleasant place and it was jumping so obviously the word is out. We were having breakfast and it was great. The toast was thick cut freshly baked bread, very good. Service was prompt and very friendly. I'd definitely recommend Joy's!

Visited twice in a couple of days because the food was so good the first time. Located right against the main line tracks, the decor is railroad kitsch; and when a train comes by, the building shakes. Fun. The Beef Brisket sandwich was melt in your mouth, smoky goodness, and the side of sauce not too sweet. A TW Burger with pepper jack and grilled onions very tasty. On the second visit, my partner was swooning over the fish tacos, which she said were the best since she'd been in Mexico, and my TW Burger with Swiss cheese and the usual fixings really hit the spot. We tried the Berry Crisp with ice cream, and it was tart and just plain good. It appears the beer selection is excellent, tho' we didn't partake this time. They have a good vegetarian menu too. The Train Wreck Bar & Grill may well become a regular place for us, and we'll look forward to trying other items on the menu.

We were just cruising thru Bow when we did a stop at Bread Farm! We were not disappointed at all! So many choices of yummy treats and so many types of breads. I got the house white bread and it is crusty goodness!

Had a breakfast sandwich and a Latte from here. Don't know what brand of coffee they use but was probably the best latte I have had. Sausage and egg sandwich in English muffin tasty also. Will definitely pick up a latte next time in area.

This is really a fine food grocery with food service. You order at the counter; seating is available both inside and on the back deck. We both had the ham and cheese paninis--excellent quality ham and cheese, and not "tea-size" either. My husband was a bit upset that mustard did not seem to be available. It would have been nice, but the sandwiches were yummy even without.

Located on scenic Chuckanut Drive (HWY 11) overlooking Samish Bay and the San Juan Islands. We are a casual dining destination restaurant offering great food and exceptional service - all in a beautiful setting. Housed in a manor originally built in 1934, Chuckanut Manor has served Skagit Valley, Bellingham and surrounding areas for over 50 years. With a classic roadhouse supper club feel, we embrace history while constantly striving to bring you new and inventive flavors from the kitchen and bar. Join us for a quick bite to eat and a beer after a hike to oyster dome, a romantic dinner for two, or a holiday family gathering. Come. Sip a glass of wine as the sun sets over the bay and the islands. Feast on a gourmet meal. Relax, unwind and enjoy.
The Manor continues to wow me with their entries. The great service, beautiful view, quality food is so worth the drive from Bellingham or anywhere for that matter!
To start, you receive, gratis, their wonderful lavash bread with their spinach spread...delish!
Today, I enjoyed their happy hour martini, the best clam chowder and the stuffed crab October special.. it was to die for!
I’ve been many times and everything has been super.
As a true foodie who loves QUALITY, I highly recommend you treat yourself here!
Check the Website for winter lunch/dinner times and enjoy!

We didn't visit the restaurant/coffeehouse and, indeed, found no such services available when we were there in June of 2014. The gardens were undergoing some renovation, which disturbed the peace a bit. But we loved the garden anyway. It is beautiful, impressively laid out, with soothing sounds of running water and plenty of well-grown koi in the pond. It's fun to feed them with the cup of food you can purchase in the shop, and it's very pleasant to stroll the garden or sit and contemplate the plantings around the pond or in the bamboo garden. It's not large, but it is pleasant and was an easy stop along Chuckanut Drive.

Very cute from the outside will make you want to stop, but as soon as you enter your opinion will quickly change. The unfriendliness of the employees and "do not" signs in addition to the over priced products, will make you turn around and head for the door. We had a little issue with one employee as we wanted to use the bathroom. We were informed that you either have to pay for the bathroom or buy $5.00 worth of items per person. We spent $15.00 and two of us wanted to use the restroom she then tried to charge us for the second persons use of the bathroom. We politely told her we spent $15.00 needless to say she did not charge us but was very rude about it. It's Just unfortunate because this place has so much potential.
