Two couples out for a belated Birthday celebration. Wanted something local where we could hang out and have good food and conversation. Decided to give this place a try and it did not disappoint. Varied menu with a few standouts. Had the crab cake appetizer, homemade with chunk crab meat and little filler. The seafood risotto was creamy and a real hit. Large enough portion to share. The mixed grille with lamb chops and roasted veggies was very tasty. Service was a bit slow but they comped us with a round of drinks...nice touch. Quiet enough to have a nice conversation and overall a good take. Not fancy or pretentious but a good value. Would go back.

There's something to be said for feeling "at home" even when you're out on the town. We'd like to think Stomping Grounds Grille is the embodiment of that feeling. It's that cozy Cape Cod cuisine you've grown to love with a funky, creative vibe. We wanted
Ate here with another couple in late September. Summer crowd mostly gone. A small cozy restaurant in a fascinating old house. Service was attentive and competent. Food was very good but not great. Excellent presentation. Recommend. Not sure how loud it would be in full summer swing.

It's been some time since my wife and I visited. No special reason. We dropped in and were reminded just how good it is. My wife had a simple sandwich and I had a pastrami sandwich. Both were very good. Our waitperson was very helpful and allowed us time to order. The surroundings were as we remembered: quaint, well done and homey. On the way home, my wife and I remarked how much we'd missed eating there and vowed to do it again soon.

My boyfriend and I were on our back to Boston and were hungry for pizza. This was a little off the beaten path for us but we were pleasantly surprised. We had a pizza with scallops on it and it was wonderful. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be coming here.

Recently went to this refurbished diner because I heard great things about it. First the positive, the food is pretty good and the bartenders are very friendly and upbeat. Unique and delicious cocktails. Now the negatives.......The portions are small and the prices are high. Customer service is below acceptable. They are NOT in the business of making the customer happy. The front end staff and servers almost have a "you're lucky to be here" attitude. We ordered some oysters that had a very bad smell and sent them back. The server returned saying that "the owner/chef thinks they are fine." We waited and waited for our food and when it finally came 2 hours later there was no apology, complimentary appetizer while we waited....nothing! Finally, the icing on the cake..........my friend and I witnessed the owner throwing what appeared to be two very nice people out of the bar area. He made a scene and then started yelling insults to the couple as they looked horrified and were leaving. We will never go to this restaurant again. There is something wrong when the owner of an establishment is comfortable yelling at patrons, throwing them out and name calling as they leave.

Went back to Cape Code first week in September and revisited some of our favorite places including the Seafood Shanty. Since our last visit they pushed the bar are back, extended the outside dining area and removed the brass rails and installed plexiglass to get a more open view of the marina. We started at the bar while waiting for out table, the bartender was friendly, as were the people that were around us. We were quickly seated for lunch. My husband had a huge salad with cranberries, feta and a variety of seafood and greens. I had the lobster roll (without the roll) and it was amazing. The restaurant was crowded, but the wait staff was attentive and pleasant. Will definitely go back again.

I wish I had taken a photo of my lunch today. I had the surf & turf tacos. The first was carne asada and it was delicious. The other was blackened Mahi and it was a joke. The piece of fish was no more than 3 inches long and didnât even fill half the taco shell. This was a $17 two taco lunch. My wine glass was dirty, covered in crusty food. Our waiter was lost in space. Lunch for two was $86....never again!

Lobster Trap was founded in 1969 as a neighborhood fish market on the Back River in Bourne. Over time, we have evolved to include a restaurant, catering, and a distribution company which services restaurants and markets world wide. Times change, but our m
We always find it so difficult to find good food down the Cape. Don't ask me why, because you with think it would be loaded with over the top restaurants, but sadly that's not the case! We were glad we stopped here, the food was really good but the service was just okay. Our waitress forgot to bring us our cocktails and we never got water refills. However, the fried clams were awesome as were the hand cut onion rings. The clam chowder was bleh... Reminded me of Snows canned chowder (my husband had the seafood stew and that was really good). We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area.
