Things to do in Pontarlier

We popped into this place on a warm July evening. I'm sure we were the only tourists present, which meant we could savour a truly French experience, with a wonderful atmosphere that was great for people-watching! The food was very good, and I particularly recommend their creme brulee as dessert. Prices were very reasonable.

Looking for a place to have dinner we passed by this place. My husbands ham was very salty and both our sauces seemed to be convenience products. My steak was cooked the way I requested. Fried potatoes were a bit dry (probably convenience too) and the salad was very simple. We didn't leave feeling hungry, but this was definately not the highlight of meals during our holiday. Next time in Pontarlier I would not go here again.

Perfect restaurant for inexpensive but tasty lunches and dinners. Every day 2 meals of the day (fish and meat) are offered at less than 10E), plus 2 or more others just slightly more expensive. But the table wine is a bit too expensive. The staff is helpful and willing and speaking English well.

L'une des premières pizzérias de Pontarlier, au décor authentique bien que rénové. Pizzas et plats typiques italiens faits maison avec des produits originaires d'Italie.
A delightful surprise in Pontarlier, family run pizza/restaurant with warm cosy surrounds. The food here is tasty, the staff are friendly and we are always welcomed like old friends. My daughter is treated like a little princess & the staff go out if their way to ensure she is happy with her food. Why do we come here? Because we are greeted with a smile every time & leave with happy tummies & smiles on our faces every time. You will too :-)

Warm, friendly and attentive service, from the moment we walked in to the minute we left. The food was beautifully prepared and presented - a work of art - it was a pity we had to eat it! Very reasonable price - we would have happily paid 50% more ..We would never have entered this restaurant without TripAdvisor, which is why we love it!

We had driven into Pontarlier and chosen the restaurant by chance. Restaurant was nicely located by the river. Beautiful little house restaurant run by a middle age couple. The food choices were on the blackboard outside the restaurant (we didn't know that). Food was great. The appetizers were delicious and remarkably made and very presentable. Our main course was a quiche. We enjoyed it tremendously - tasty and just the right amount. Coffee was good and well presented as well. The owners do not speak any English so communicating with them was a slight challenge with my limited french.
