It was the first time I've ever tried this chain but I wasn't disappointed. We were seated immediately and the overall service was very friendly. I took the formula with mussels and a waffle while my husband took the fish and chips. The mussels were yummy as was my husband's dish. I'm not usually a waffle fan but it wasn't too sickly and was quite light. The prices are good considering the portions.

Dinner was delicious at Le Rendez-Vous. We had escargot, eggs poached in wine (meurett), charolais beef, profiteroles and Chablis. The Bernaise sauce was the best and they did the beef perfectly! Although this restaurant we recommended by the Aquarelle people, it was the local butcher who convinced us. He even checked in on us there. Also, it seemed to be the only restaurant open on Tuesday.

We enjoyed a set menu in our night in Auxerre.the restaurant ovelloks the river and has good outdoor seating.the food was classic bistro style. Pates,snails etc.Mains of Steak and Fish of the day.All well prepared and presented.Reasonable prices Good service
