The Fairies took up places, at the foot of the mounts of Jura and at the edge of small called river... " The Cow ". In the crossing of a small road " The Fairies " welcome you and invite you to cross(exceed) the threshold. They will take you in their magic universe and without warning(preventing) borders will move(put) back, sources(springs) will sing, trees will liven up(lead), flowers will metamorphose, the words will fly away or will remain suspended from the kingdom of the Fairies. Then let "give birth to" you during this stay in the course of which you will escape with delight on their wings studed at least we wish it to you. Then take the key of these enchanteuses ways ...
Located next to a stream in the heart of the Jura region, this little gem was absolutely prefect in every way...Lots of attention to details everywhere. Room was very well appointed. breakfast was lively with lots of home-made jams, honey, etc... Nathalie, the receptionist and waitress at breakfast was extremely pleasant and helpful. The owner was very helpful in arranging dinner reservations for us which could have been an issue during low season with many restaurants closed.

Located in the vineyard of the Jura, Next to Arbois. At the end of the Reculée des planches, a small calm village. At just 400m of The Cascade des Tufs, a 4 stars Hotel with 4 Jacuzzi Suite and 14 rooms and a gourmet Restaurant where you can discover local specialties like the Poularde de Bresse with morels and yellow wine and have a look to our beautiful wine menu. In Summer you can enjoy our outdoor heated swimming pool and have your dinner in our covered terrasse.
Pictures much better than the tired reality. On our way there they rang to say the restaurant was full. What hotel does not check with guests who are staying for two nights if they wish to eat? Even in their room guide, guests are allowed to order a meal up to 6pm. The room had no effective bed lights since the 'designer' shade was a 30cm ball of feathers. The promised minibar was empty. The bed was rock hard so that I had to sleep on the duvet (it didn't help much). The contrast with our final night in the Champagne region was stark. We would put this place as 2 star at best with amateur customer service and will never return.

After a very early morning start from the UK, arriving in Beaune and having the chance of a very relaxing evening in this lovely B&B. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfast is delicious, with home-made jams and lovely coffee, which set us up nicely for the second leg of our journey. It is about 5 miles outside Beaune and so very easy to park (which isn’t always the case in Beaune) and Laetitia booked a very nice restaurant for us in Beaune. Highly recommended.

Previously a Benedictine living, this spacious house of the end of the 19th century accommodates 5 guest rooms since June 2007. This idyllic dwelling is happily situated, just below the saint Agnan bell tower and in the heart of the historical neighborhood. Opening on a wide-ranging garden, the place offers an enchanting view over the Loire River and the Sancerrois mounts. Each bedroom is differently garnished and offers an intimate and cozy atmosphere.
Excellent place tucked away in Cosne Cours sur Loire overlooking the river. Very welcoming, beautifully decorated and appointed overnight stay and excellent breakfast. Charming & friendly host. Winter stay, so no swimming, mind, but the gardens look lovely.

Guest house in the heart of our vineyard. Discover old stones and delicious wines from the property. You can take dinner at "Table du Domaine" with regional cooking. Breakfast with regionals meals. Welcome at the cellars and tasting wines.
This small hotel/guesthouse is situated in a small village about 10 km south of Auxerre in Bourgogne. It is a good base for exploring the villages and wines of Bourgogne, close to places like Chablis but not as pricy and much more quiet. Rooms are rather small but quite OK. There is also a pool and a terrace. They serve a traditional french breakfast and also dinner which you have to book in advance the same day. Nice and friendly people. They produce their own wines and have a large cellar that can be visited, under the house. Wines are for sale in the cellar and also available in an "honesty bar" in the dining room. Walking distance to a Roman archeological site. You need a car or bike to get around to other restaurants and sights.

We’re sure you’ll enjoy your stay at Domaine de Syam as you experience all of the things Syam has to offer.
The Domaine de Syam is located within forests, mountains and an excellent location to cut from everydays life. The hosts are very friendly and give good advice for hiking paths (e.g. Cascade du herrisson) The hut in the tree is charming and well equipped but you have to bring your own sheets. For the price (150 euros / night), I find this not acceptable. Breakfast though is cheap and great: for 10 euros per person you get a basket full of stuff. All in all a good experience even if the details are missing to make it exceptional!

We stayed here as a group of 6 the night before our riverboat holiday from Migennes and wished we could have stayed longer. A gorgeously renovated property with very comfortable and individually styled rooms. Janik was a fantastic host and made us feel very comfortable and made us a lovely breakfast with home produce. Would be a great base to visit the vineyards for Burgundy.

We never actually got to stay at Le Konine because the day before our stay they called and told us that the hotel is closed (didn’t tell us the reason) but they had booked us a room in the nearby Ibis. We had already paid for the room at Le Konine but they took care of the payments at Ibis (which apparently is slightly more expensive than Le Konine) so we didn’t really mind although Le Konine seemed to be a bit nicer based on the pictures (we had booked the nicer prestige room).
