Reviews on Danish food in Allinge, Bornholm, Denmark. Located on the Danish island of Bornholm, Allinge-Sandvig is the product of a merger between two small fishing villages. It’s close enough to the impressive medieval ruins of the 13th-century Hammershus fortress that you could make a day hike of it, strolling past beautiful scenery. For more adventurous travelers, kayaking in the Baltic Sea is a popular way to experience the Danish coast, and rock climbers can scale coastal cliffs and abandoned quarries.

well, this is obviously a specialty restaurant, so don't go there if you are looking for a pizza. but if you like smoked fish, something which is increasingly harder to find these days, then this is THE place! their smoked mackerel is just out of this world, juicy yet not soggy, smokey but not so much so that you donÃ't taste the fish, just perfect. after all, they have more than 100 years of experience in doing just that - smoking fish. try it here, it doesn't get any better anywhere else. all the salads and herring they offer ... you can get them at the supermarket ... the smoked fish is THE attraction here! plus they have all-you-can-eat buffets at times, if you prefer to dine that way.

Kiosk mit eigener Sandwichkarte, Softeis, selbstgebackenem Kuchen, Kaffee, Tee usw.
I've been a regular in Hammerhavn a couple of years, and I am still surprised by this ordinary kiosk serving the most delicious homemade cakes. If You decide to take the popular trek around Hammerknuden, pass by here for a coffee, and dont't cheat yourself of the substantial, well-made and reasonably priced sandwiches. The view of Hammershus alone is worth 5 stars.

We had booked in advance, as we had planned for this meal to be our top culinary experience during our two weeks at Bornholm. And it was!Driving along the coast line to get to the restaurant is in itself a majestic experience. Enjoying the view of the beautiful hotel-cum-restaurant from the outside and the sea from our table does make a romantic setting and a solid foundation for high expectations. We were greeted at our arrival. When asking for another (preferred) seating, we were accommodated, no questions asked. When asking whether the wine menu could be served in half size for the driver, we were also positively confirmed. Next up was the home made delicious bread and home made butters, each came in two sorts. The waitress were lively and professional, the timing was good and we were made to feel relaxed.A set five course menu with matching wines was the enjoyable ride we decided for. All dishes were made from a rich variety of seasonal, tasty raw material of good quality and often local heritage. The tasting spoon of the chef was certainly well trained and creative touches were on the palate and for the eye to behold.Only Kadeau does it better on this island (and at a higher price), and that's no little feat!

Stunning view. Incredibly flavourful and slow cooked dishes made from local ingredients. I am a gin and tonic fan and there was a great selection, including my favourite Copenhagen distillery. Laid back staff. Stunning view. A perfect late summer´s rainy evening after a long hike bliss.

Restaurant Le Port is an experience all year. You will get the best from the classic Danish and French kitchen served with the most beautiful sea view Bornholm can offer. In the summer you can enjoy the sunset and in the winter we keep it cosy indoors wit
We visited for dinner an evening in mid May. As first course we had among other new Danish asparagus and as main course the fish of the day served with among other small, new Danish potatoes. Both courses were excellent and so was the Austrian white wine Grüner Veltliner. Service was quick and friendly. This evening the seaview and the sunset was magnificent.Dear Gunnar G Thank you for taking time to rewiew us :) We hope to see you again!

We had lunch, and chose to sit outside. We both ordered fish and chips, with beer. We got the beer about five minutes after ordering, which is acceptable. The food arrived in reasonable time, considering this was lunch hour. It tasted good. Service was without critique. The price level is as you would expect in a coastal Bornholm village, i.e. on par with Copenhagen. The buildings look nice, and the garden is pleasant and has a small pond. Children's chairs are available (though we had to fetch it ourselves from inside the main restaurant buidling). We had a good time, and would visit again, especially as there aren't that many similar places in Sandvig.
