As there isn't much else in the area we chose this place for lunch. It's a b&b, restaurant and mini supermarket. Friendly staff. They serve fast food: pizza, burgers, rösti, hotdogs.... Quality is good. Don't expect gourmet, but we were happy to support a local business!

Like other reviewers note, this pit-stop is THE place for bus and car travelers passing through the gateway town of Borganes, in both directions! The eatery provides the basics for lunch, etc., the restrooms are excellent and the store has a great selection of unusual items (Major HINT: Along the front window you will find a stack of (wrapped) "Njal's Saga" books...THE Best Book ever written (1000 yrs ago) about Iceland..Buy It!!!...Do Not Wait, buy it here. Three reasons: 1) Nijal's Saga is hard to find elsewhere, 2) Key = best electrical converter-holder-up (perfect multi-directional size, period) and 3) the read is spell-binding...I so wish I could have read it BEFORE I toured Iceland!!) My second hint: across the street out the side door off the restrooms is an official Icelandic wine shop (inside door at the corner across the street)...stock-up here if interested.
