Coming off the Katy Trail on Bicycles, we loved it!

I'm not sure this place gets a lot of Katy Trail riders, but honestly, we loved it. After you cross the interstate on the bridge, there is a trail guide hut, this is the place where you take a right and go uphill to get to the hotel. It is an interstate hotel, but that didn't bother us. A few reasons to consider this place. 1. Management is running this place extremely well. 2. Super clean. 3. Working pool and hot tub. 4. Breakfast was great. 5. Very friendly staff. There aren't a load of food options nearby on the bicycle, but we ate at Arby's which was fine for a night.

More Like a Comfort Inn

Reviewed By TheObjectiveCritic

There’s nothing really wrong with this hotel, but it certainly doesn’t meet the standards typically associated with the “Quality Inn” level of Choice hotels. It’s more on the level of a “Comfort Inn”. Bottom line is, it’s a comfortable stay but nothing special.

Fantastic place to stay

What a lovely place to stay. Every room is different. Very nicely done. Reasonable price. The owners are super friendly and love to share this work of art. Plenty to see and do in the area, including a casino, Katy trail and biking, hiking, antique shops, and some nice restaurants.

Homestead Lodging

Gross. Don't sleep here, you'll regret it.

Reviewed By bortdozer

Booked weeks ahead of time using Priceline. After a long day on our bicycle, my wife & I were looking for a comfortable place to sleep. We've stayed in budget motels before and our expectations were low. This place did not meet our low expectations. Kinda nasty would have been fine, but this was creepy & disgusting. Had other lodging been available within 25 miles, we would have stayed elsewhere. If we had a car, we would have slept in it. A tent in a mud puddle would have been an improvement. I've never stayed in a place before that inspired me to run out and purchase delousing shampoo. This place did. The shower was a disaster. Holes in the wall and hunks of plaster on the floor. It appears they've painted over something (mold?, I dunno) - see the pictures. If this town had a health department or any sort of inspection organization, this motel would be closed. If you find yourself in Boonville, MO and want to see the rattiest hotel on the planet, stop by the Homestead. Seriously, avoid.
