Read quite a few excellent reviews of this place so we decided to try it. The owners are Colombian. I am from Dover and Dover has excellent Colombian food. They serve from a buffet. So choices are limited. I had white rice black means and pulled pork. Beans were good but they didn't give many. The pork was ok. My son had baked chicken and it was bland. We also had an empanada. It was also ok and not great. I would have rather eaten at ANY of the Colombian restaurants in Dover. Take the extra drive into Dover and have better Colombian food.

My family and I live within walking distance of this excellent dining option, but its worth going out of your way for a visit. Carlos and his superior staff always deliver an excellent dining experience. My favorite dish is the Italian hot pepper side they offer and have never been disappointed with the salmon or filet entrees. The building is the original Mountain Lakes train station. The stone construction, including the old ticket office, are very much in evidence and lend it some early 1900's ambiance. The upstairs is a lovely little bar which is reasonably if not spectacularly stocked. Overall highly recommended!

We are a small 48 seat BYOB restaurant. Chef/Owner Matthew Pierone has been named to Best chefs America (BCA) list since 2013. He specializes in fresh, creative Italian cuisine and is known for his Pork chops, fish and bread pudding. Outstanding customer service is a main focus at the Gourmet Cafe.
Went for dinner tonight and was pleasantly surprised as to the appearance and quality of the service. The food was good and the atmosphere better than you expect for a strip mall. The appetizers we ordered were very good and the entrees were good. Price...MoreHarry, Thank you for trying us. I am glad you liked the service, atmosphere and food! We appreciate you taking the time to leave your thoughts. Chef Matthew

As soon as we walked in, we were impressed by the cute old-time pastel décor – complete with doll house-like colors, booth seating by the windows, sofa in the middle and checkerboard small chairs and tables at the back. We were lucky to get that booth overlooking Main Street. There was nobody else in the store, so we could savor our selections in an unhurried manner.
The place offered numerous unique flavors of ice cream, sherbets and even cakes. My husband got the orange sherbet and combined it with the Pistachio-nut ice cream, and I got the Maine Maple Walnut ice cream. We were both happy with the taste, the flavors and the textures of our selections. The portions were large, and the prices were very reasonable.
Both the employees who were there were polite, professional and friendly. It was our first time here, and certainly will not be our last.

I love this place if not just for the charm and growing history of this place and the town! Great ice cream - sometimes a bit sweet for my palate, but hey, it is ice cream... and it is creamy and the texture very smooth. Definitely recommend to anyone!

I admit Florence Italy is my favorite place on Earth. Sadly I live in New Jersey and not Florence. I can however get a little taste of true Tuscan cuisine and authentic Italian cooking right around the corner from my very own office. Everything I have ever had out of this shop has been above-average if not better. Definitely worth the trip.

For a specialty coffee shop, they offer surprisingly few choices -- none of the flavored syrups and ooey-gooey additions that I personally look for. Although I was the only one in the shop, the service was just OK, and they made a mistake on my order, but did willingly correct it. They offer very few goodies to go along with the coffee, and their prices are a bit high for the size container. Perhaps a real coffee aficionado would appreciate the quality of the coffee.

This place has an unassuming exterior and counter service, so I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The gyro platter was delicious, and serving was so large I ended up making two meals of it. The service is a bit taciturn, but the food more than makes up for it.

Stopped in before a Barn Theater production of "Mothers & Sons" for drinks and appetizers. They have an extensive list of wines starting at $7 a glass. The cozy fireplace with mood lighting and wood tones was perfect for a relaxing conversation before the theater. The music was also subdued. The Colonial farmhouse exterior feel adds to the charm of the experience.

I had lunch at Fasil Mediterranean after a meeting with The Land Conservancy last month, and it lived up to my expectations based on my previous business lunches here.
Service was fast, friendly and efficient, cleanliness was excellent including the rest room; and the restaurant was decorated in a very pleasing Turkish fashion.
Lentil soup was delicately flavored and the chef had left several whole lentils in the mix to add some welcome mouth feel.
Three different hummus and three excellent falafels completed a very satisfying lunch.
