Every time we visit Boone, Stick Boy Bread Company is the first place we stop. The pastries and pretty much everything on their menu is top quality and scrumptious. The employees are friendly, even giving us tips on what to do in the area. Don't miss this opportunity for great service and cuisine!

We stopped here because our 11 year old daughter got to pick- she chose well! We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. I highly recommend the duck- it was insanely good! The calamari was excellent and the rest of the family loved their sushi. We tried to eat here, again, but a water main break caused some of the locals to close because of possible water contamination. We will definitely be dining here next time we are in town!

These donuts are SUPER good. My favorite go-to is the lavender donut because it's the first place I've ever been to that made those. Perhaps some day a bacon maple donut?? It's also my favorite coffee serving establishment in town and my excuse to take a break while running errands. Comfortable atmosphere and relaxing.. Plenty of seating. Good music. Friendly staff. And the option to have good local beer with my donut seals the deal. Yes.

This place has too many appealing choices on the menu. I finally settled on a chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat with southern potato salad. My son chose the Philly cheese steak. My sandwich was very good, but his sandwich was delicious. When we return, I am ordering the Philly cheese. The potato salad was average. I am not sure where they got "southern" potato salad. I am from the South and it definitely did not measure up to what I am accustomed.

Come Back Shack is all about fresh, delicious hand-made food at an amazing value. We hand-patty fresh, never-frozen, USDA ground chuck. Our chicken sandwiches are all-natural, and our chicken tenderloins are fresh, never-frozen, hand-breaded, and all-natural. We hand-cut fresh potatoes for our fries and fresh sweet potatoes for our sweet potato chips. We make our sauces from scratch daily. Our milkshakes are made with premium real ice-cream and hand spun in a dozen flavors. We go to the extra effort to serve the best, tastiest, freshest food to our guests because we know you care about what you eat. It's the kind of food we love, and we enjoy fixing for others. We look forward to seeing you at Come Back Shack!
The food quality at the Come Back Shack rivals that of any full-service restaurant, yet it's served super fast and fresh! Everything is delicious. The salads are phenomenal, too. Bonus: it's locally-sourced! Unique, beautiful art and decor (yes, it's the Shack, but it's no shack). There's nothing else like this place.

Mint has a wonderful lunch buffet. I love to sample all the different offerings and find new Indian favorites. Menu varies, but it’s always delicious. Service is attentive and the atmosphere is comfortable, but refined — I almost forget that I’m in Boone.

Dined here with friends on a recent Wednesday evening. The restaurant reminded me of a small French Bistro in decor. We started with sharing a bowl of the crab and corn chowder, which was excellent. I enjoyed the Diver Scallops and my wife had the Four Cheese Pasta. We ended the evening with a Toffee Bread Pudding (yum!). Definitely worth a trip.

Melanie's is a tradition in downtown Boone serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. We source all of our bread, eggs and burgers locally as well as other items when we can. We have an eclectic and creative menu serving food made from scratch. We are sensitive to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners.
This is a quant little breakfast spot with a wonderful staff. The food is amazing!! The bourbon pecan french toast was unbelievably good!! As was the sausage gravy and biscuits. My son said his bacon, egg, and cheese was one of the best he's ever had. The breads are what make the meals so much better than the typical breakfast place. Highly recommend the eggs Benedict and the Trucker's breakfast.

Upscale casual dining specializing in creative American cuisine focusing on local/regional cuisine and products. Extensive wine and specialty beer lists including mixed beverages.
Had a delicious meal here while on Boone. We ordered cocktails, appetizer, entree and dessert and loved it all. Service was decent as well.
The bread they served with their hummus plate was amazing-even by itself it would have been good. The specialty margarita (had mango in it) was delicious.
We all ordered burgers. Simple but it hit the spot. The fries were sort of meh but we subbed Mac and cheese for one fry and that was our favorite part.
We will definitely be returning.

This is a great, quaint restaurant with a unique menu. The atmosphere of the storybook like mountain restaurant and bar did not disappoint. I had the emu and my wife had elk. Both dishes were excellent, with the emu being the star for sure. Our server was outstanding in every way. If I had to point out a negative it would be the overly casual dress of some of the customers, which was disappointing. This observation may be attributed to the build up by friends and family and our high expectations and not the fault of the owners. That being said, if I am spending $150+ for dinner for two in this type of restaurant, I wouldn't expect to sit next to a family in jeans and college hoodies. This is not a sports bar and should have higher standards given the reputation and prices. Ok dress for lunch but not a late dinner at an upscale mountain restaurant. Maybe a note on the web page would help. Otherwise and excellent experience.
