Luna Salada Hotel built purely out of salt blocks, offers a high-level Andean Cuisine, Free Wi-Fi internet access in the Lobby, free parking and a very complete buffet breakfast. A Unique hotel offering rooms with stunning panoramic views of the Uyuni salt flats, which are finely decorated with salt blocks and handicrafts of the area, also equipped with heating, seating areas and private bathrooms. Luna Salada is situated on the edge of the salt flats and the small town of Uyuni is 25 km away, where the Joya Andina Airport is also situated . The restaurant offers regional and international dishes. You can request lunch and dinner for a fee. You can enjoy reading a book in the fireplace area or as well book an excursion to visit the salt mine. There is also a games room with pool tables and ping pong. In addition, it offers a bicycle rental service
I stayed at Hotel de Sal Luna Salada and Hotel Palacio de Sal. Here is my review of Hotel De Sal Luna. See Hotel Palacio de Sal for my review of that hotel. I will compare each attribute on how I came up with my rating. Check in process - 5. The process was smooth and easy. Staff - 5. Everyone we came in contact with was helpful and polite. At both hotels it was a mix of the staffs English skills, but we are in a Spanish speaking country and do not expect the staff to know English. Room - I give the room a 5. We had two rooms, a double, and a single. Hotel de Sal Luna Salada - the double - you walked into the room and immediately looked out over the salt flats through a huge window. The room had a desk, comfortable king size bed, sitting area that looked over the salt flats. All the furnishing were crafted of salt with comfortable cushions. The walls had local artwork. The bathroom was large and modern. The single was similar to the double only slightly smaller with a queen bed. But the view was just as spectacular. Both rooms had blackout curtains you could use to cover the windows and individual heating systems to control the rooms temperature. Hotel public area - Hotel de Sal Luna Salada - 4 - while some of the areas seemed to be upgraded some need some work. Food - included breakfast and dinner. Hotel de Sal Luna Salada - 4 - the dinner is waiter service we had three courses and we were given a nice selection for each course. Two of the folks have allergies, one has dairy and wheat and the other nuts. The waiter was familiar with the food options and made appropriate adjustments to accommodate the allergies. Breakfast was buffet with lots of options. We did not use the spas services.

I just spent a couple of days (Dec 30th and Jan 1st) at Laguna Volcan Hotel, the landscape is still beautiful and peaceful. However, the Hotel changed the administration (last time I went there was a nice Colombian lady) and unfortunately the service quality decreased. The package I bought included New Year's party, and the party wasn't organized properly... In Bolivia, December is a rainy month, so everybody knows that at Dec 31st might rain, so if you will have a party that night you should prepare accordingly (install some rain tents, for people, for musicians, etc).. This new party did has a place where to dance, no decoration, cotillon quality to forget, and in summary a very poor party. Really disappointed. Again I insist, at least the landscape remains beautiful, however bI not sure if at the price they charge, is a win win deal.

Lots of amenities and friendly staff. No English spoken but we managed with google translate. you can be occupied all day long with different activities both indoor and out or just lay back in the sauna or the hot tub.
