Reviews on South American food in Cartagena, Bolivar Department, Colombia. Cartagena, a gorgeous fishing village on Colombia's Caribbean coast, has excellent beaches, a historic old town (that's entirely walkable) and beautiful colonial architecture. It's also one of the safest places in the country, so it's no wonder it's a popular port of call for cruise ships. Need a break from exploring the cobblestone streets? Stop at an outdoor cafe for excellent pastries and people-watching.

Not often we can say "that was brilliant" but in this case it fits so well.Congratulations to management because your service personnel is outstanding - definitely the best and friendliest service I had so far in my 20 years visiting Cartagena.I ordered beef soup (soap de carne) - very tasty (with potatoes, carrots, garlic and beef) and lomo la pimienta (beef loin in pepper sauce) with oven potatoes and sour cream - it was melting in my mouth and the medium I ordered was prepared just as requested.Rounded the lunch with a very well prepared Tiramisu and a Club Colombia (in my opinion the best Colombian beer) It is not a cheap place, but excellent value for money - spent 118 k COP or 35 USD for one person which included tips. This is a highly recommendable place to have a lunch or dinner with friends or family.it is located in the very beautiful old part of the cityGood afternoon Mrs. SauraCordial greetings, for us your comment and rating is very important, we have moved your comment to the boys so that they are motivated to maintain quality in the service and foodWe thank you for valuing every detail of ourWe hope to see you soonregardsKey. We stopped in for lunch, after Jesus approached us. We had excellent Mojitoâs. My wife had a vegetable salad to start. It was good. She also had the vegetable rice for the main...delicioso! I had fried calamari to start, which was good and the shrimp rice for the main. It was really good. The restaurant was cool and quiet with local music playing. Jesus answered all of our questions and was really cool to talk to. Make sure and check this place out. We will definitely come back, when we visit again.

Cartagenera restaurant food, traditional food, Caribbean food, Food in our region..
Went there for lunch, after passing by and enjoying the appearance and music. Friendly and efficient staff (Cristina) and good service. Excellent menu in Spanish and English which seemed fairly priced. Went once on my own for lunch and returtned the next day with some fellow travellers who all enjoyed it.

We had a dinner at this cozy restaurant....incredible! I ordered the sea bass fillet and my partner the ocean perch. The best fillet of fish we have ever had at a restaurant. We could have easily shared one main course but weâre glad we each had our own as. The fish was grilled...succulent and supple. The steamed vegetables came with an herb dressing on the side that accentuated their fresh flavour. And the coconut rice was light and fluffy.
