We ate this evening our dinner here. We (dutchmen) live partially in the region.First off all: everything looked beautiful and careful.The taste was very good, espessially the dessert 'Variation on a cucumber'. Wonderful! The rolled meat was only a little bit to dry (as very often in Czechia).The service was very friendly.The price was higher than the normak restaurants.We will return!

After 3 days of trekking in Sumava Mountains and on the way back home we have made the stopover in Strakonaice for the lunch. We have found very nice restaurant with typical Czech cuisine, very kind staff and very friendly atmosphere. Thank you

I had lunch there today. It is located on main road to Pisek or Strakonice. Parking lot has at least 20 spaces. They are open for lunch only at this time. Menu is changing every day and can be viewed on their website. Soup was great and taste like homemade. Main course tasted great as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. No credit cards accepted only cash at time of my visit. I was informed that credit cards will be accepted soon.Thank you Jiri for this review. Indeed after the opening phase we are now serving dinners as well plus payments with cards are no problem. Looking forward to hosting you soon again.

I visited this restaurant in January 2017 during my trip to Šumava and had a lunch here. The reason to visit this place was that this village (Hoštice) is very popular from Czech movies. When we entered the restaurant we could see clean dining room with pictures from the movies. Some details are the same as seen in the movie. The staff in the restaurant was kind and nice, we had daily menu, which was pork knee with dumplings and cabbage. Meal was very good, nice price and nice atmosphere. It is suitable for fans of the movie and of course for ... hungry :-)
