Bogota is one of the most open, welcoming, and exciting cities in Latin America. The northern part of the city includes the Zona Rosa neighborhood with its hip restaurants, wine bars, shopping and nightlife, as well as the open-air market of Usaquén. Be sure to check out Zona T, a pedestrian-only paradise of shops, bars, clubs, food and the vibrant heart of the city. Selina Bogotá Chapinero is located in Zona Rosa, the coolest part of one of South America’s most modern cities. The buildings are beautiful and the streets are safe and pedestrian-friendly. We’ve got an array of dorm options for every budget, as well as private rooms and suites. This city is complete with everything from cozy coffee corners to places to shop til you drop and/or dance til you drop. Enjoy the hipster neighborhoods of the north, take a trip to the museums in the city center, or head to the mountains for breathtaking views.
I made a reservation for 3 days, 2 persons. Second day I received an e-mail for check inn although the reservation was made for 3 days later. I tried to explain the situation using the hotel e-mail. No answer. Had to book in another hotel. Later I was charged for the full period without any explanation.

PROS -The location is pretty good. It’s easy to get to from the airport(30k in a taxi) and also a good distance from the bus station (15k). Around the corner is a Transmillenio station where you can easily get a bus into La Candelaria. There aren’t a great amount of food options around the hostel but you can find some if you are willing to walk 5–10 mins. -The hostel is safe - there is a gated door to the property and the rooms have locks/lockers. The local area is safe to walk in during the day. At night the surrounding streets are a bit quiet so be observant. -The hostel is SUPER CLEAN, bathrooms are cleaned and restocked multiple times a day. -Decent Wifi available throughout -A number of common areas to relax in - including a patio, games room, lounge and bar area. There is also a generous sized kitchen. -Staff were really helpful when asked about transportation, activities, booking taxis etc. You do have to ask though (in Spanish) rather than this information being given freely CONS -The hostel was quite cold in the common areas and in my room. I had to wear all my layers to feel warm at night. -There isn’t much of an atmosphere here, people keep to themselves. No organised tours or activities. But this may be a reflection of it being just after the pandemic. -There’s no breakfast here, you’ll have to walk 7mins plus to find a bakery or supermarket -My 1st floor private room was quite loud - I could hear everything happening in the street as well as downstairs in the common areas. It wasn’t a problem for me as I can sleep through most things but might be for others. Would stay here again but would probably explore other hostel options first

One of my favourites hostels in Bogota! I’ve made so amazing memories here and met some incredible people. The hostel is perfectly laid out to meet people so is perfect for solo travellers. Just sit on the table next to reception and you’ll be guaranteed to make friends. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathrooms were always sparkling clean. The only downsides were that lots of people at the time were smoking in the common area, despite there being a “no smoking” sign. When I mentioned this to the staff, they didn’t do anything about it despite a few of us complaining that the whole area was filled with smoke. We didn’t have breakfast here and there were a few limited options, but I would highly recommend going around the corner to Masaya Hostel where you can pay 12000 for the best all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast in Colombia. I would recommend El Yarumo to anyone who wants to have an unforgettable time in Bogota.

I had a great stay for just one night. The place is clean, dorms aren’t crowded and the kitchen is well stocked. The staff was very helpful and friendly, a million thanks to Santiago and the red hair lady. It’s very close to the Transmilenio station and everything in La Candelaria.

We seemed to be in a place further along the street from the photographs shown. The room was a little drab, but clean and functional. It was a bit further from things than we realized (especially the historic centre - but closer to zona rosa etc.) but still a good and safe-feeling location and the staff member was helpful and friendly...just not very atmospheric.

Located in the middle of the historical center, Granada Hostel offers a unique stay in a 1930’s republican house. Recently restored, the house displays all its original features from early XX Century. While enjoying the historical experience, you can mingle in the patio bar, read a book on the hammocks or take a break in the hammock floor net… a unique experience!
Granada Hostel is located in La Candelaria neighborhood in old Bogota. We found the location to be perfect, within walking distance to most sites of interest there (Botero Museum, Gold Museum, Monserrate). It is a locked/secured door/building, so very safe inside. It was also safe outside, as we walked all over the area, including at night to restaurants/bars. Be aware that restaurants close a bit early in this area though (we had trouble finding a place after 7 pm. Check in was easy and there's bag storage. We stayed in the 8 bed dorm, which was comfortable and each bunk provided privacy, outlets, and a light. Bathrooms (at least the mens) had four showers and two toilets, which always seemed like enough (did not have to wait). Facilities were clean and water was hot. I would recommend this place for fellow travelers.

The hotel is cosy and very clean. Well located, 10 min. walking from the transmillenio (bus rapid transit). Nice restaurants nearby. The hosts are very welcomming, warm and helpful people. They helped me a lot with arranging initial things when I arrived first time to Bogota. I felt like at home :)
