Nice location, crappy service & not available spa options
Reviewed By 471mellimPros:nice location, good breakfast Cons: from advertised spa options only pool and sauna were open (only 1 family allowed at sauna, for over >500 rooms!) and no massages available on Sundays (which does not make sense for a hotel offering weekend getaways) - no such information provided anywhere beforehand; service at bar / restaurant was horrible: 1 hour waiting time for drinks, ordered salads were not served within a 2h time frame so we left and ordered pizza externally; booked 2 same rooms and 1 was a lower category, when addressed to receptionist it was confirmed and lower rate was paid (not sure it would have been noticed without our asking); no female hygiene bin at the hotel room; also no phone in the room and when calling the reception from mobile phone, it took ages to get an answer, if anyone answered at all

Pleasant hotel in the town centre
Reviewed By PrimeporkHad a short stay here recently. We chose the hotel for its central location. The room was immaculate, good shower in the bathroom. As another reviewer mentioned there was no air conditioning so was a bit stuffy at night even with the window open. The buffet breakfast was fine. The only negative was that the restaurant closed at 8pm, we didn't have dinner here. We didn't use the spa facilities but people we were travelling with did and enjoyed it. I would recommend this hotel as a base for visiting the surrounding area.

Reviewed By Tanja WWe had the chance to spend a night at the Camping Resort in Bodenmais last week. The Resort is situated just about a mile outside Bodenmais. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Check-in was painless. The Resort is beautiful and newly build. It has a pool, a spa, a restaurant with a Biergarten, a playground and playhouse for kids. Camping Resort is very clean and the food in the Biergarten is amazing. Best of all, however, is the "out-of-this-world" sunset at night!

A friendly hotel in beautiful countryside
Reviewed By Michael LAn ideal hotel for discovering the Bavarian Forest region. Good rooms and friendly, personal service. Family run so always an eye on quality and customer satisfaction. You really need a car for exploring but the hotel offers a local free bus pass for guests during their stay. This is fine for short trips. Great for Nordic walking an mountain biking, which you can hire. Can recommend a guided bike tour.

Really great, relaxing place to stay - would stay there again
Reviewed By JeannnyThe Gutsalm is relatively easy to find if you are travelling to Bodenmais and following the signs. It is a little bit hills up and might be challenging during winter time to get there. But in April it wasn't an issue. Around the Gutsalm there is "nothing" except for nature, a really quiet place. It isn't a problem to park your car on an outside car park. The check in and check out worked quickly and friendly. We stayed in one of the "Wiesenhüttnhäusschen" which are a small walk (2-3 minutes) from the reception and restaurant building. They are for max. 4 people and really cute. Everything is made out of wood and the view was stunning (especially from the balcony). Ours had two rooms with a double bed in both of them and a tiny kitchen (including a fridge). It was clean, the beds were really comfortable and we enjoyed staying there. The meals in the restaurant were really fantastic and the staff was really willing to go the extra mile if you have some dietary limitations, e.g. vegan. I stayed there for a sports weekend so except for the sports classes I didn't see much but there seemed to be nice hiking tracks around. You could also use a hot tube outside (additional fee) if you'd like to do that. The only negative things I could see (which are really not that important) are that the Wifi was pretty slow so don't try watching any kind of videos ;-) and another pan, we only had one cooking pot would have been nice. But I would certainly recommend to stay there for a relaxing time!

Reviewed By Rabauke2017Wir waren für 2 Nächte im Hotel „Drei Tannen“. Es hat uns super gefallen: nette Gastgeber, gutes Frühstück und tolle Lage. Die Zimmer waren super sauber und man hat sich rundum wohl gefühlt. Wir fanden den Kühlschrank mit den Getränken ziemlich gut. Für wenig Geld konnte man sich da ein Bier rausnehmen, was wir dann gerne auf dem gemütlichen Balkon getrunken haben. War eine super Sache ?

Gastehaus Haller: Billig und sehr gut
Reviewed By 153erwindMeine Frau und ich (Holländer) waren in August 2019 eine Woche Gast bei Frau Haller. Es waren schöne Tagen. Die Zimmer war sehr net, das Bett ausgezeignet und das sanitair war auch gut. Spitze war das grosse Terras mit Panorama Blick auf Bodenmais. Frau Haller ist eine sehr freundliche Dame. Gastehaus Haller: Billig und sehr gut!
