Things to do in Isla Bastimentos
Located right on the Bastimentos dock overlooking the water. Very friendly. The fish taco is huge, a large grilled flour tortilla loaded with fresh breaded fish. Delicious sauce. One night we had the special...whole fried red snapper. Came with rice, veggies, cabbage salad (needed dressing) and fried plantains. More food than we could eat. Very good local fare moderately priced.
We are a small family restaurant specializing in worldly island cuisine. Our food is made with fresh ingredients sourced from Isla Bastimentos and neighboring islands! Our delicious menu is updated frequently and includes a variety of dishes such as Carib
This place is spectacular! So stoked we found it after getting an obscure tip from another boat passenger. The 1st night we went there we had the COLDEST beers (not always the case at other establishments) delicious pasta w/shrimp, and some of the best fried chicken I have ever tasted.Needless to say we became fast friends w/the owners Kevin and Brittini and their adorable son Joa. The following day we went surfing w/them and found out Kevin is available as a private chef too! We hired him the following evening to come to our private villa at Red Frog Island and cook lobster for us. It was delectable! Seriously amazing. My girlfriend said it was the best lobster she ever had. Itâs 9 in the morning as I write this coffee in hand, nevertheless I could go for another lobster right this second. Feels so good to find hidden culinary gems like Island Time restaurant and be able to support them. Especially when the owners are so cool and just starting out. I highly recommend them, you wonât be disappointed. I canât wait to return ASAP. Aloha and Mahalo Island Time, we will be back!

Beautiful Beach Club. I loved the design and all the beautiful details. Great food, drinks, pool, waterfalls, and the most incredible views. It is a perfect place to spend a day or the entire duration of your stay.Gracias Jen please come back anytime soon
Full of Caribbean vibes Dreamcatcher bar and restaurant offers a great combination of worldwide flavors with local ingredients making it a great choice for all those who are looking for good and healthy food that includes seafood, vegan and vegetarian rec
We came for a Sunday lunch and were so glad once saw vegetarian&vegan options available. Owners/girls who work there were really lovely, place is nice too.We had an avocado and vegetables with flatbread for the entree ( I regret we didnât take a picture to show how entree for $7 looks like) and 2 salads from the main menu. Food was below average, my 8 year old sister makes nicer salads (I am not overstating). Seriously Iâve never felt that I am paying and everything was absolutely not worth it. Our bill was $36 and we left hungry. Salads for $11 from the main menu should be decent size and decent ingredients, especially comparing with island prices in other restaurants.. Itâs cool that girls had a confidence to be open for the public as an eating place.. however, a long way still to go to learn how to cook, find passion and get some creativity.

On the waterfront in Basimentos, you can get a water taxi to drop you and collect you from their own dock. The staff were friendly and cheerful and the Caribbean style food is decent but not amazing. Possibly a little over-priced - mains around 12 dollars - but the octopus ceviche was only 5 dollars. A bottle of beer is 2 dollars. Yes it's a little ramshackle but that is part of it's charm. And the setting, sitting out over the water watching the boats go by and soaking up the local ambience, is fantastic.

The Point offers pizzas and fresh food in an incredible location on the beach. Guests from all over the archipelago come to experience the new menu and specialty drinks.
The place is very cool due to its unique location at Red Frog Beach. Burgers, sandwiches and salads taste good but nothing out of ordinary. Service was not the best. The restaurant has been totally redone with a new pizza menu. Please come and try us again!

To get to the restaurant you basically walk through what feels like someone's home. It's strange at first. The restaurant has a view and is over the water which was nice. We ordered the seafood soup and were very excited about it but it seemed to have fake crab in it which was disappointing considering we were literally floating over the ocean.

Bar & Restaurante Chavela serves a unique and eclectic Caribbean inspired menu for dinner on Isla Bastimentos, Bocas del Toro
The prices were pretty good, food was tasty. The napkins are held in giant sea shells which is pretty neat. Limited seating, go early if possible. We were one of the first people there and it quickly filled up. We ordered the chicken and pork caribbean dishes and both were quite good. I liked that they offered breadfruit as one of the side dishes too as I had never tried it before. It's a little bit of a walk down a narrow path, but not too bad.

The Firefly serves Thai/Caribbean food in an open air, outdoor setting directly on the Caribbean Ocean. We source locally and organically whenever possible and believe in using ingredients readily available to make up our menu. Because of this philosophy,
We can not say enough good things about this place. excellent imaginative cocktails. The food was creative and original, not your typical tourist so-so food. we wish this place was in our home town because it would be one of our go to places. the gnocci with coconut ginger sauce was amazing! As were the ribs. And all three desserts, but especially the donuts. The other great things about this place is the people who run it Michell and Shaun who were the most friendly and helpful people to us on the island during our week stay. Don't miss this place if you go to Bastimentos. Oh and the yoga classes were really good too!

The Buena Vista Bar & Grill has been a staple in Bocas for over 22 years. It is located over the water in downtown Bocas (Isla Colón). It is open daily from 7:30am until 9:30pm for breakfast, drinks, starters, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and wraps as wel
We visited Buena Vista twice while in Bocas for a dive vacation. I really enjoyed the curry dish and my daughter enjoyed the burger options. Great place and good service even in a large group. Our friend is vegetarian and he had a dish delivered with chicken in it. The staff was so amazing at handling the situation and even gave him a free drink. Really nice place with plenty of inexpensive or more elaborate options.
