The owner is cooking 99% of the time for lunch and supper and it is a good thing because he is an excellent cook. Nice place to grab some food and a beer and relax and enjoy your company.

We needed a nice place to celebrate a couple of birthdays and Southfork fit the bill. They had the tables set together and welcomed the group when we got there. The orders were taken and delivered as ordered and the food was excellent. Their breaded pork tenderloins are huge and very good as well as their hamburgers. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the Birthday cheesecake topped it off for the two birthday guests.
Really nice time for everyone and great venue.

We stopped here 2 times while in town visiting family! They have huge portions and a variety of ways to get your icecream. Very quaint little shop!

Great buttery crust. Wonderful homemade fennel sausage. Cooked in a deck oven.
One of the best pizzas ever. As of now, in my all time top 5.
Honestly the crust and sausage are the stars. The flavors of it all together are really good. Make their own dough.
Little heavy on the cheese for me. So i ask for light cheese. The must use mozzarella or a blend of it.
In the Southeast Iowa town of Bloomfield. Gotta check it out.
I have never had anything else on the menu but pizza. It has always been great. The flavor is outstanding. Have had nothing but the sausage pizza. And added pepperoni.
The recipes came from Ted's pizza that was here for years. In southeast Iowa. . You had a bunch of Greeks come here to live and open shops up like this. This is an old Greek pizza recipe and is dang good.
In the old bank building. You can sit and eat in the old safe if you care.
I don't rate the food on atmosphere etc.
You like pizza. You need to try this.

Excellent Mexican food. Very clean and attractive place with a great wait staff and quick service. 99 cent draft beers. Generous corn chip basket and salsa. Highly recommend this place if you like Mexican food.

The volunteer in the visitor’s center was very informative about the city and area and didn’t recommended CJ’s restaurant. We didn’t take her advice and toured the town looking for a restaurant but didn’t find one and ended up at CJ’s anyway.
We found a spot on the street to park. The street has angle parking but we did it anyway.
We entered the restaurant and it was bigger inside than the entrance indicates.
We were seated and the restaurant was quite full. We perused the menu and decided to eat. Why would we want to eat in a restaurant? That’s anybody’s guess.
Peggy had the lunch buffet. She had mostly salad and fish while I had spaghetti and jalapeño poppers. They were the best jalapeño poppers that I have ever eaten. The host recommended them and he was right. The spaghetti on the other hand was one of the worst spaghetti’s that I have ever had.

We like to have a Pizza Hut pizza on occasion and decide to order one. They made it quickly and gave us cheese and pepper along with plates and napkins for eating in our room. Very friendly and the pizza was actually pretty good.

This bakery on the out skirts of Bloomfield, Ia. Is only open Friday's and Saturday's but boy is it good. We made a specific trip out there a couple of Saturday's ago and it was well worth the trip. We got a pan of pecan rolls that were hot out of the oven, whoopee pies and a cherry turnover which was the best I've ever tasted. They also have a variety of pies, cookies and breads available and all looked great. Wish we lived closer.

A friend and I stopped in here for a quick lunch before going to an appointment. This is a quaint place-nothing fancy, but clean, homey and a welcoming environment. Best of all, the food was excellent! They serve soup, sandwiches, and other short order type foods in a basket, which for me is a nostalgic thing! I loved it! You order at the counter, take a seat and before you know it your food is placed in front of you by a friendly, smiling wait person! It was fast! And as I said, the food was great--tasted like home cooking. Prices were reasonable, in fact typical for this type of food in this part of the country! I recommend the Farmer's Table!
