Biei-cho is an artist’s canvas of snow-capped mountains and fields swaying with lavender, poppies and bright seasonal blossoms. Art galleries feature the beautiful handiwork of local artists inspired by their surroundings, and the Panorama Road is an aptly-named path to all kinds of sites, particularly local farms and craft workshops. Sup in a charming café to get the true essence of Biei-cho.

The Adagio, is located nearby the beautiful town of Biei, you can enjoy visits to local sightseeing spots, sit back on the balcony to relax at dusk, or read one of the many books provided for vistors’ perusal. The bedrooms are large and each offers a touch of class with a very modern feel, while the French windows and balconies boast breath-taking views overlooking the picturesque valley and sea. The service at the Adagio is of a very high standard and the staff dedicates itself to ensuring that guests have as comfortable a stay as possible. As the title of the homestay suggests, the Adagio prides itself on its unique approach to relaxation and your stay there is very much about escaping the noises and demands of everyday life. The restaurant located on the first floor shares this same philosophy and encourages everyone to savor their meals slowly to inspire the sense of taste. The restaurant’s recipes are unique and the ingredients feature the freshest seasonal offerings possible. The Adagio is, indeed, a uniquely tranquil and peaceful home away from home where you can refresh your mind and store your spirit.
Accommodation like a fairytale house. In the dark, snowy and windy when we arrived but in house is difference atmosphere. It was very lovely and warm. Staffs and chef are Taiwanese and good communicated in English. They are very good services mind. We got the full course dinner from local material in Hokkaido. Every dishes, they explained about ingredients. We feel like to go to visit our relative’ s house. I like to sit and see view from the window in the living room and listen the song that they opened. We are very impressed here.

This guesthouse is located about 5 minute taxi ride away from the Biei JR station. We stayed in the cottage next to the main house. The cottage was very spacious with a large common room with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and a toilet room. The futons were comfortable. We had some difficulty in getting some of devices connected to the Internet but it all worked out in the end. Host had limited English but was very patient and willing to help out on requests. There was also a gallery/arts craft shop on site that sold handcrafted and handwoven items. The host also sold fruit wine by the glass that they produce on site. A good option if you are looking for a more country-style feel for lodging.

Biei town is the best place to stay that is located between Furano and Asahikawa. There are many beautiful places and sightseeing spot. And it’s very close to Asahikawa airport. Our B&B which is small family-run have 5 Japanese-style rooms and a Cottage. Maximum only 20 people stay. We very welcome you with warmest heart and hope you will have great stay with us. We located very near by Biei town on the way to Shinei no Oka(Hill of Shinei) in Panorama Area. Just 4min drive to the Biei station. Around the house is surrounded by a pasture and vegetable fields that can enjoy the idyllic and quiet landscape. And also we can see some beautiful starry sky. We will provide a fresh and delicious food that Biei or Hokkaido products. The rice and bread cultivated with a reduced amount of agricultural chemicals. We located at 15min to Asahikawa airport, 30min to Asahiyama zoo and 40min to Furano. Just 3min to Biei central by car and very good location to see around the sightseeing spot in Biei.
My guest room which was on the second floor was very clean. Equipped with heater and a/c, reasonably fast and free wi-fi. Otherwise the room is fairly spartan and uncluttered. Has a toilet attached and wash basin in the room. There is no ensuite shower though. Bedding consists of a futon, a small pillow and a plush duvet. There are two nice separate shower facilities on the first floor. Only one face/hand towel is provided and I had to pay 100 Yen for a bath towel, perhaps this is the norm for this type of accommodation. The breakfast area is also on the first floor. The breakfast selection is fairly limited, but what was served was very fresh and healthy, including a selection of fresh local vegetables for a salad, locally made bread, butter and preserves. I was also served a plate with a modest serving of omelette, sausage and potatoes. Overall, highly recommended and I would stay here if I visit Biei again. The hosts are very polite and speak decent English. However, I would not recommend this place for those with mobility issues as the access to the second floor guest rooms is via a fairly narrow and steep staircase. The cottage rooms should be fine though.

A quaint, friendly family style hotel. Mr. Matsuda-san (owner and operator) made sure our family were well taken care of (2 adults and 1 toddler). Room was very clean. We traveled with extra American-sized luggage, and Mr. Matsuda-san made extra transportation arrangements to help us out. Great little restaurant next door too.

Nice location, very friendly owners in a beautiful and quiet area of this part of Hokkaido. Great collection of Japanese books (manga and children books). The cozy onsen has a large window with a view into the forest.

Room is very small, not worthwhile with expensive rate. Big luggage can not fit into the room. No tea/coffee/ tea pot / cup etc. Shared kitchen is nothing. Television is in the corner of room which has no space to sit and watch. Breakfast is only one thing which is fine.
