A small, family-run hostel, Mayon Backpackers is centrally located- a short walk to the city center, minutes from the airport and bus terminal, and within striking distance of all the major tourist attractions in the area. Stay with us and let the adventure begin!
Friendly but untrained staff
Reviewed By xenol569Booked two family room and city tour with the hostel via Agoda & have multiple email confirmations.The point person didn’t handover the information,so it was a bit confusing upon arrival. The tour was okay, a bit pricey though but since we have the van to ourselves and the driver was pretty nice it was acceptable. Php1400 (6pax) . After the tour the tour, the front desk gave us the wrong room. When they found out, they try to put us in this mold smelling room. When I told them about it, they wanted to put air purifier in the room so it wouldn’t smell. Had to tell them dozens of time that it was acceptable before they changed us into a new room. To be fair, the staffs were nice and polite, however, they weren’t properly trained. The information wasn’t handover... as a result, we had to go over the same conversation over and over. Personally, I wouldn’t go back to this place again. With this price you can probably stay in a much more comfortable and well trained hotel as a group.

Reviewed By brendonm2014You get what you paid for. There is nice bed, nice shower and located close to a coffee shop. Walking distance away from the restaurants! You should email them if you have requests and they will attend to it.

Worst experience a guest could have to a hotel
Reviewed By jesuitfriarThe worst experience a traveller could possibly have in a hotel. They don't keep track of their booking and room occupancy properly. You might find yourself exposed and your privacy violated because their attendant suddenly open your door to offer your room to another guest. And this can happen while you're naked. What a terrible experience! And what could be worse, the attendant insist that the room is not occupied! What a lousy hotel and lousy management.

Great staff, good food
Reviewed By nomadofthecenturyWe stayed at La Casa Roa for 2 nights last March 2022 and the experience was very good. The staff there were amazing, and the food was superb. With very few dining options in Caramoan, La Casa Roa is your best bet for freshly cooked dishes. We also ordered food that we took with us during our island hopping, and they placed the food in a cute wicker basket. The interiors looked a bit dated and could use a refresh. Location-wise, it is right smack in the town center and is a 20-minute tricycle ride away from the port. The best asset of La Casa Roa are the staff -- they are all courteous, professional and warm and will make you feel like VIPs.

Reviewed By raj1218location is good - near the airport and quite accessible. staff helped me with my backpack but other than that, they were nowhere to be found. the bathroom door in my room didn't have a working lock and when i mentioned it them, the lady staff just dismissed my concern and said it's okay. AC was too cold and i couldn't adjust the temperature because it was located where i can't reach it
