Reviews on Wine Bar food in Venice, Province of Venice, Italy. For centuries Venice has been defined by its otherworldly presence. Divided into six sestieri (districts), the city is split by the Grand Canal, snaking through Venice in a backwards “S” formation. Water here is a means of communication, connecting its parts as well as opening the city to the outside world. People move themselves and cargo by foot and boats of all types. A city of great contrasts, the strength and beauty of Venice are perpetually challenged by its great fragility – constant study, repair, resourcefulness, and vigilance maintain a very delicate balance here.

Vineria all'Amarone is a wine bar in Venice city Center. It offers a fine selection of local wines from high end vinos such as the Amarone della Valpolicella to affordable high quality wines that you can also take away or ship back home. At Vineria all'Am
Perfect little spot to have lunch. We were a party of four we had 12 cicchetto (Venice tapas) as an entree, then we shared a pesto pizza and salad. Staff were amazingly friendly especially the âboyâ waiter and the recommendations on the wine were perfect. Would recommend anyone visiting Venice to google maps this place and find it.

Walking back after a nice morning in Fish market and St Marks Square - this was a great pitstop. Quick bites- a couple of glasses of prosecco. Counter service only though there are a few tables/chairs. Most people eat at the counter. Small bites of yummy food. the person behind the counter was very quick and extremely efficicient. We had a Crostini, Polpette and the Zucchini flower- all very yummy. Perfect snack for 11am - We were done in 15 mins and back on the road

Heard music wafting through the alleyways of Venice and following our ears, we stumbled across this great little bar with an amazing live cover band playing an inspired, eclectic song list. Add to it, the bartender made one of the best old fashioneds I've ever tasted. I'll for sure be telling friends about this place for years to come.

All'Arco is a convivial little place serving delicious, punchy cicchetti. It's a popular place so be prepared to eat standing up - but it's worth it for the impressive range of fresh and flavourful cicchetti. Perfect for lunch on the go!

Al Squero is the only Osteria in Venice exactly in front of the Ancient Squero of San Trovaso. There is no other place where appreciating from its window the construction or restoration of original Venetian gondolas. It is a cozy and comfortable place whe
All the positive Reviews of the Osteria Al Squero are true! Located alongside a small canal behind the Accademia; situated opposite an interesting Gondola building/repair yard and serving some of the tastiest Cicchetti in Venice. The staff are competent, friendly and patient with their constant stream of multilingual clients and they take time to explain what is on show in the glass cabinets. It can get very busy but if all the seats inside are taken, it is as pleasant to partake of the refreshments outside. We ALWAYS make our way to Al Squero for at least one lunch when we are in Venice. It is reasonably priced with interesting snacks and tasty house wines - though there's a wider selection for customers with a more refined palate.

We were on our way to one of our favorite non-tourist restaurants in Venice, Bacarretto Bistrot il Siciiano on a Sunday evening. Marco's was closed for inventory so we tried the newly relocated Al Grill a few feet away. It was a wonderful surprise. The small bistro specializes in high quality grilled meat, especially beef. We weren't very hungry so split perfectly grilled lamb chops, grilled veggies, zucchini with mint (really great) and a lovely large salad with soft fresh mozzarella cheese. Owners brought us some little bonus goodies and chatted. Didn't have room for dessert but will go back next time. Service was personal, excellent, timely. Very highly recommended. I would just alternate restaurants by walking across the street between Bacarretto and Al Grill, both on Santa Croce on a little corner in the heart of non-tourist Venice.
