Discover Restaurants offering the best Wine Bar food in Vatican City, Lazio, Italy. Sure, Vatican City is tiny—110 acres—but it houses the world's largest Catholic church (St. Peter's Basilica) and has perhaps the best collection of artistic masterpieces in the world (the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's Pieta, the Laocoon Group, etc.). And maybe only 800 people live here, but one of them's the Pope. It's a pretty good argument for quality over quantity.

A cozy place near Piazza Navona where you can taste a large selection of tuscany specialities like ham of cinta senese, mortadella with truffle, cheese, salami Served on olive wood chips all accompanied by a large wine list But also rich sandwiches of our
My family and I were in Rome in the Piazza Navona and came across this amazing place for lunch. We ordered the board and a few sandwiches...everything was great and very reasonable. Aneel was our server and he was very attentive and welcoming!! I definitely recommend this place and will come back.

This place is a great stop for wine tasting and wine/food pairings. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. When I am in Rome I typically look for places serving good old traditional food but this time decided to try a few places doing a new take on Italian food. I was pleasantly surprised. Since I am 'older' I worried I would feel out of place but the warmth and friendliness of the staff eliminated that worry.

Informal atmosphere in a very romantic original old fashioned place ideal also for a break for a glass of genuine wonderful wine or for aperitif. Open from 11am to 11 pm.
Walked by and stopped just because of the interesting decor and the hanging meat. The nice lady working the counter asked what we would like and was super helpful even after we told her we were not ordering, so we decided we would be back the next day.Went in today and ordered the "gourmet" platter... W.O.W!! It was fun just to watch it being made but once we got a taste it was awful quiet at our table as we both tried all of the different items and also combinations of flavors by mixing items up in to unique bites. The bread add-on is a must have, the bread is out of this world!By far the roasted pork roll is the winner so we already decided tomorrow is pork roll Panini for lunch... See you there!!The only minor issue is the Wi-Fi, it's some odd service we have not encountered before, says you need to download an app to use it but not sure how you are going to DL an app from a website when you have no service so yeah it's not as convenient as most every other place we've eaten at in Rome but the food makes up for it.

In this little wine bar, you can taste italian products of high quality like cheeses, salami, bruschetta and other dishes of our tradition coming from different regions of Italy, combined with a selection of Italian wines only. But we have also italian beers
We just comeback from Rome and I couldn't wait to write this review.LOVE LOVE LOVE this little spot. All they have is 100 flavor choices of tiramisu, cheese board, salami board, different toppings crustinies and great Italian wine selection. We walked in nobody was there and were seated at the little table. Francesco recommended red wine that was so good I later bought two bottles to bring home to California. It was Marco Carpineti Tufaliccio.Went so well with everything.Perfecto ! The crustinies were fresh and delicious and three kinds of salami (or was it four?) were best I ever tried. I bought all of them full size the end of dinner to bring back home. YUM ! And what about those huge green olives, they were absolutely delicious ! SO GOOD ! I wanted to get some to take home with me too, but forgot at the end :( Classic Tiramisu was a nice touch to finish this great experience. Francesco, thank you for your help with salami and wine selection. If I am in Rome again, I will make Mr.100 Tiramisu my first stop ;-pP.S. Having my first breakfast at home all jet legged at 5am and guess what I had ? Truffle salami from Mr.100 Tiramisu ...lol Sooooo good

Essenza is an intimate Wine Bar focused on regional italian cuisine, We enjoy to enrich our life through the experience of wine, food and conversation. Be experimental, learn as you savor, and let us bring the charm of wine into your life. So, welcome to
We went here the last night of our initial stay in Rome, before heading north for a week. Their meat and cheese plate was so good, we went back when we returned to Rome before flying home. Yes, there are 10,000 restaurants in Rome, and we went here twice in our four nights there. And the last night, we had to walk 35 minutes to get there. Located in the charming Trastevere neighborhood, it's a cute little wine bar with couch seating and tables that look out onto the street. The Essenza Board for Two is amazing: a large selection of meat, cheeses, melon, and more; plus a small bar of chocolate to sprinkle over one of the cheese dishes (complete with a mini-grater so you don't eat the chocolate whole). The last night we had lasagna, since we were still slightly hungry after our board. Delicious, and beautifully presented. And, since it's a wine bar, the wine selection (get the Primitivo!) is excellent as well.

I expected a wonderful experience from this restaurant, based on the reviews. But it was disappointing. To be fair, the interior is warm and nicely decorated. And the serving staff was friendly. But we were seriously rushed on our service, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. Courses were served before we had even finished eating the previous course. And 2 of the 3 courses that we ate were bland (the eggplant balls and the veal scallopini. On the plus side, the wine selection was very good. Overall, most unfortunate.

We ate an amazing breakfast here, and everything was amazing: the food, the environment, and especially the service. My daughter loves artichoke and they brought her a huge artichoke dish which she loves. Also, the coffee was spectacular and we couldnât stop ordering more coffee.

My friends and I travel to Rome once a year, and although it's hard to find bad Italian food, it's really special when we find something this good. We were so impressed with the food and the service, we came back again for more! Highly recommend the antipasta - we had the meatballs (twice), the Crostone cacio ova e tartufo, the Carpaccio di baccalà , insalata di puntarelle, and it was all excellent. They did not have an English menu so it was a bit of an adventure, but the waiters are very attentive and friendly. They specialize in olive oils from different regions and you can purchase them there as well. I also loved that they brought little "taste treats" before the meal - delicious! Extensive olive oil and wine menu! We will certainly go there again next year!

Very near to the Vatican Walls, inside the Daedalus of the beautiful Borgo Pio Neighborhood, you'll find Makasar. You can eat good food hearing nice playlist of ambient/lounge music drinking beers, wines or rare spirits. Owners are friendly and if you spend time during the day, this place can be a very good stay even for working. Maybe it's a little bit difficult to find but the search will be rewarded. The food here was delicious - itâs quite a limited menu, but the food is still really good! Thereâs a lovely relaxed vibe here, and the ambience/atmosphere of the restaurant makes it an enjoyable evening! Also, I havenât been anywhere yet with such a wide section of red wines - so if you enjoy a glass of red I would definitely recommend. The waiting staff were also attentive and helpful when we had questions about the menu. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Rome!
