Having a overnight stay due to being in the area on business, we came across this little bar which was very busy and liked looked like the look of menu too. There were limited options of eateries in the immediate area and this looked the best option. We found a spare table (another 2 were available nearby), and then went to the bar to order food and drink. Whilst we were waiting to be served by the bar staff, a man /waiter came over to us and very abruptly told us we cannot order food as they are fully booked and they will not serve us food. I pointed out that we had found an unreserved table, but again he told us they would not serving us food, he then rushed away, leaving us standing at the bar. There were no apologies or alternative suggestions of where we could try. We collected our personal items from the table and left immediately.Helen - I am so sorry to hear of your experience and apologise wholeheartedly. We operate a small kitchen and all our food is freshly prepared. hence we are fairly limited on how many tables we can serve. That said we pride ourselves on our service and it would appear from your comments that we did not take enough time to explain the situation, or offer an alternative suggestions, On a more positive note, our feedback on our food is excellent, and what I would suggest is if you are in the area again please give me a call and we will certainly show you how good our food is! Regards Martyn

I took my son here as I'd read excellent reviews about it as well as recommendations from friends. I'm going to be honest I was a little dissapointed we opted for the two pinbone steaks and a bottle of wine for £22.50 . The meal was ok the steaks were cooked they way we like them and served with fries even though the lady who worked behind the bar couldn't really tell what it came with so we ordered minted vegetables but it does come with chips and onion rings !!! The wine was really good Merlot so you can't go wrong there but to be honest we both came out of there saying it was an ok meal . It's a quirky small bistro and pleasant vibe to the place but just a bit disappointed that we didn't get the wow factor that everyone has put on trip advisor.
