There is no easy way to cover all of the great points of La Filanda. Tucked in a quiet part of Manciano, La Filanda is a warm, well run restaurent that serves excellent food. The setting is very, very nice a quality dining experience awaits. The service by the attentive staff added to a very pleasant evening. This is the first tasting we had in Italy and after numerous times in napa and Sonoma I must say this was one of the best. We tasted wines from Montauto winery and they were great but Claudio and Fabio, the father and son put on some food display as well. Salami and prosciutto and dried pheasant and cheese and bread. It was fantastic. And the price was right. Highly recommend. Can't say enough about father and son!Thank you for being with us.I have a good memory of you!Montauto is one of the wine cellars that represent the Maremma⦠and then some.I hope to see you soon!Thank you.

We jumped in for some finger food before dinner. The place was recommended by our hotel. It was very good!!The prosciutto, salami, formaggi, carpa cio were exellent! Went for the house white and had 2 diifferent red vini. They were very tasty, bodied... "pesante". The owner was very helpful.This is the perfect place for you if you want to have proper wine with great finger food... we bought 2 dozens of wine, olive oil and tasty cheese.It's a must to visit place!!!
