2 couples booked a table for Saturday afternoon- very busy when we arrived but our table was ready.Food was all good, starters were antipasto meats, soup of the day, and deep fried mozzarella. Homemade garlic mayonnaise was delicious.Mains were fish goujons and chicken Milanese.Nice wine and a good choice of cocktails.Lost a point for the staff, no pleasantries, no smiles and we had to attract waiters attention to order more drinks. It was a warm and busy day, but a smile costs nothing and goes a long way.

Today we visited this little café for lunch and we were not disappointed, we were the only couple in then gradually it filled up! I opted for the Soup of the Day and Ciabatta with Chicken Mayo, my wife had baked potato with Tuna and Red Onion. Both came well presented and warm. For dessert we both opted for the Tablet Cheesecake which was to die for! The bill came to £24, for two mains, two desserts and two pots of tea, which was not bad taking in to account the quality and service!

We visited for afternoon tea last Sunday with a Groupon voucher. Parking outside was fine and entered the bar/restaurant. It was almost full with a very large party seated near the windows. We were shown quickly to a booth and served with a nice glass of prosecco while our afternoon tea was being prepared. We are used to a bit of noise but, we were in two minds whether or not to go as the noise from the group of 20 - 30 or so (mainly boys under 12) was spoiling what we hoped would be a relaxing afternoon tea. There was no bad behaviour just kids being kids. The parents seemed to be on coffees so we hoped it would not be too long before things quietened down.A selection of freshly made sandwiches arrived and they were very nice, apart from the salmon in cream cheese which was very salty. Later, scones with cream and jam, brownies, meringues and cream and a lovely lemon posset arrived. It was good to see an imaginative selection and they all tasted great. All in all the afternoon tea was lovely and great value but the background noise made the experience very stressful for us. I would have rated the experience 4 stars all being well but could not recommend the experience on this occasion.+ service, afternoon tea, good value- Extermely noisy during our visitHi there,Thanks for your review.I certainly apologise for the noise on your visit. Sunday’s in general can be very busy, but that particular Sunday we did have a local youth football team that we were sponsoring etc visit the restaurant. I’m sorry for any impact this had. I’m very glad to read that you enjoyed the food, service and value of the restaurant. These are of course our main points and glad we hit the mark on those. I do hope you get a chance to visit again.
