We were looking for an authentic place for paninis and wine and Gino Cacino did not disappoint. We were there the day before Palio but the wait wasn't long at all. The menu had tons of choices and the wine list was extensive. The best meat and cheese I had the entire time I was in Italy! Extremely authentic place, with very little english spoken, but does not take away from the experience at all, and instead, enhances it.

A beautiful dinner spent in this place between wine and food. You can express your preferences about the kind of cheese and ham you would like to have or you can leave this decision to the innkeeper (which we preferred). Everything was great! The food, the wine, the location and the guy who served us. I truly recommend this place

Only some small distractions serving at the table but the waiters but quite honest to acknowledge and readily apologizing. Non-flavourishable my spaghetti with seafood hence not worth for its price (22â¬). The Chef (a foreigner) is not good enough for pasta seafood. Excellent the wine!! The service at the table was really nice by the two girls.

This is the best wine bar in all of Siena, I have visited this place many times during my stay in the city. They have all natural wines and amazing knowledge of them that they are willing to share. Francesca and Davide that owns the place are amazing people that always make you feel welcome. Besides the good wine they also serve great cheese, meat and crostone - all from artisan producers. Well worth a visit for the wine lover!Thank you, Tina!It was a big pleasure for us to know you and Vincent and we are glad that you like our place and offer. We had lunch here - it was recommended by our B&B host and is just off the main street. Surprisingly good range of foods from panini, salads, pasta, bruschetta to various specials. My husband and I are both vegetarian and we had a wonderful dinner here. We were recommended the restaurant by our hotel because they are known to be flexible for vegetarians. The menu is actually full of great options without having to even go off menu (although they will do that as well). The wine selection here is excellent and the ambience is nice. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The setting alone will take your breath away. The quintessential Tuscan vineyard with views in every direction. But then you enter the dining room where you are warmly welcomed by an attentive staff.The menu is small but with something for everyone. We started with the baccala bruschetta and a salad mista. Both were excellent but there is something about the freshness of the salad greens and their presentation that wowed me. Or maybe it was the addition of their locally produced olive oil. Either or, both appetizers were scrumptious. My husband then ordered the boar steak and I the tagliterini with truffle sauce, each rich in flavor in its own way but again home runs. We finished with the ricotta mouse, which was to die for. And if you are into wines their selection is top notch but the prices are reasonable.Al in all from the staff to the menu and quality of food our night was perfect and we highly recommend a lovely evening at Foresteria. We had lunch here while staying nearby and really enjoyed it. The food/wine was good/reasonably priced and the service excellent. The outside location was good as it was a hot day and we were very comfortable.

Amazing experience in this little restaurant, food was incredible delicious and healthy. Real Italian food (NO expensive at all and NO bs food! Massimiliano, the owner and the waiter, suggest me an amazing red wine to match with âtuna of chiantiâ and the meat tartare... Everything was delicious end the price very onest! When I have a chance to be back in Siena for sure Iâll stop at TVB again.
