Discovered this gem of a place this summer hidden away in the old centro of Penna San Giovanni. Only open in the summer holiday months they sell delicious local top quality wines and light food in the form of fantastic cheeses, hams and salamis all made by local small producers served with interesting breads plus delicious cakes and tarts for dolci. Quite a different experience from some of the local restaurants where quantity can sometimes triumph over quality - its a great place to take people who consider themselves 'foodies' and the charming owner and his lovely staff are happy to explain all about the wines and produce. (it does help to speak some Italian) The wine is also available to take home and some of them are absolutely stunning, often organic and I suspect unlikely to be found outside this area as made by small producers. Its also wonderfully cool in there, bliss on a baking hot August evening, I think it. usually opens around 6pm in the evening. Highly recommended, I wish we didn't have to wait until next summer to go back.

A chic, charming setting on a side-street of one of Marche's loveliest small-towns. The menu is simple and limited, but the meat and cheese selection is always excellent, the wine list is a nice mix of local and other Italian wines, and the service is wonderfully friendly. The homemade tiramisu is a winner as well. This is what you hoped your dinner in Italy would be-- quiet, romantic, and delicious.

This newly opened wine bar in the picturesque village of Monte San Martino is sophisticated and welcoming. The staff are knowledgeable about the many local wines and happy to make recommendations based on your tastes. The light food menu complements the wine and is by local producers. Its an ideal place to sit outside in the piazza and watch the world go by. Inside the decor is modern and tasteful while the building itself is historic and characterful with interesting features. A must visit if you are in the area.

Lovely location to stop for a glass of wine or fresh juice and a plate of cold cuts and cheese. Friendly family run business. So helpful and kind. Speaks of the town in general. Very warm and welcoming community.

We live locally but had not tried this restaurant before. Servigliano and its surrounding area is well served with a variety of quality restaurants offering a wide range of (essentially) marchegiane cuisine at competitive prices. To attract and retain customers, businesses have to have a selling point. Arte del gusto's SP is the intimate atmosphere and quirky design and furnishings. The service is good and friendly, without being intrusive. On the night we ate there, the restaurant was busy, but this did not faze the staff. The place is obviously very popular with the locals, which is always a recommendation.The local competition sets the bar very high when it comes to food choice and preparation. In this respect, Arte del gusto is not outstanding, but there is nothing wrong with it. If your focus is on the food to the exclusion of all other considerations, I would tend to choose my personal favorite, but if you want the whole package of food and cosy atmosphere, this could be the place for you.
