Behind the captivating front, a not-so-good gastro-pub. We might have been unlucky, but we didn't feel happy with our experience. The landlord was kind and cheerful, illustrating the "typical" home-made pastas (looking a bit dry and dusty on that demo tray), uncorking the wine and letting us taste it (not bad at all). However, our orders came in too charred to be truly palatable: it was true of the meat, the fish and even the grilled vegetables. The other patrons seemed happy with their orders, although I don't know what they were. Oh well...

A little osteria with warm hospitality in the centre of Desenzano del Garda. They serve tasty, traditional italian dishes from high quality ingredients with simple presentation. The menu is extended, enough choice from fresh burrata, salami and prosciutto plates to sweetwater fish dishes. The inside decor is traditional style but the ambiance is still pleasant and friendly. The only negative remark is the âancientâ toilet which needs urgent upgrade! We are in the 21st century!Hello Thomas,Weâre happy youâve enjoyed your experience at our place!Weâre sorry you werenât comfortable with our toilets, however as you righty pointed out, the building itself is quite old and there are some minor space/options constraints. Hope weâll manage to sort this out as well anytime soon.Regards,Andrea

La Vite 2.0 is a winebar located in the center of the village, just below the castle of Desenzano, descending from the castle you can find us right there. We offer a selection of fine wines to taste with exquisite cold cut or excellent cheeses or you can
What a great find, tucked away at the top of a side street not far from the 'castle ' we initially thought it was just a wine bar, but there is quite a well presented restaurant inside with a patio area. Wine served by the glass so you can try , as we did on one occasion, a glass of the more expensive Italian wines such as Amarone, could easily work your way through the wine list by trying a glass of each, maybe next time.Ate here once as well but only for a burger, which was very nice indeed well presented and delicious. We really should have eaten here again as the menu was quite intriguing. The staff were very attentive with out being intrusive and very friendly as well.
