The other reviewers are spot on! The champignons farcis were plentiful and a great start to a wonderful meal. The moules gratinées were small but tasty. We shared the chicken, fish and beef entrees - one was better than the other! Inventive and unique. The service was very attentive, but not intrusive. The basement space is small and filled with customers, but conversation was easy and the atmosphere was festive. Everyone in our party left with smiles on our faces.

Tomino - Taberna Gallega

'Benvidos' a Tomiño. Our menu is a combination of traditional and modern Galician and Spanish cuisine. It focuses on tapas, and shareable main dishes. A few to highlight would be the Pulpo a Feira, Empanada del dia, Arroz con Bogavante, and the Chuleton d

Invited to a friends’ golden anniversary at this Spanish place in the middle of Chinatown and Little Italy, I found a smallish, narrow restaurant with wonderful food. Top notch ingredients with delicious seasoning delighted the foodies. Tapas sampled included ham croquettes, fish croquettes, octopus, pork/potato/egg, chicken/chorizo in a thin crepe sandwich — all to be recommended. Entrees were a very flavorful and tender beef plus a lobster and fish paella. The latter was interesting in that it was moist like risotto, not dry. Desserts were equally great. At dinner, the noise level was a bit much for me but not overwhelming. The service was just right, there when needed and patient with questions.

We went for breaky today and lucky for us the wait to be seated was only 5 or so mins. We sat at the bar which was fine by us - I don’t mind watching the barista work his magic! We had the banana date shake - delish, husbands coffee was great (we’re Aussie coffee snobs so it was great to finally have a decent coffee in the US!) I had the veggie breaky (mashed cauliflower etc - with amazing house made olive butter and breadHusband had the granola and that was fresh as well. The staff are lovely and accommodating (I overheard some extremely fussy orders being made haha) Highly recommend making a stop in here!
