I chose this restaurant from many reviews I read on TripAdvisor for our 2nd and final night's dinner in Bordeaux. We arrived just before our reserved time of 8 (20h) and were seated inside. The patio was full of happy hour people. Once they left we finally got some attention. The host couldn't find my reservation so I showed him the email I had received that confirmed. He said no problem. The Fork messed up because I got a text the next day that my lunch reservation at noon was waiting for me! I was already on the train to Paris by then?? We each ordered our own bottle of wine. I had the Red Languedoc 750cl and ended up ordering a 2nd one once I determined that I could carry the half bottle of so that I knew I wouldn't drink with me (so I drank 1 1/2 bottles!!). My other half a white Entre Deux Mers. I enjoyed mine enough obviously. I stared with the Bulots (Whelks) and Prawns (Eyeballs and all). The whelks weren't what I remembered from some I had years ago in Paris, but they were still good. Once I got the shrimp peeled, they were very tasty as well. My other half an anchovy appetizer. For my main, I had the lamb chops, cooked rare to medium rare (saignante) as ordered. It came with vegetables. My other half had the swordfish (espadon). The food was very good. We also had tap water to wash our meal down with the usual bread. We passed on dessert. They didn't have paper menus--only a board with the daily menu and just 1 in English so we had to wait although I could read the French as well. I think they had 2 of those? It was a good evening. We spend some money because of 3 wine bottles, but that was ok. My only issue would be that it would have been nice to have a Table d'hote ( a fixed menu with a few choices). I would consider returning when back in Bordeaux.

Not fine dining. I reserved in advance from the UK and this was necessary, as people were turned away. on a Saturday night. Restricted menu. The young waiting staff.all informally dressed, were very pleasant and efficient. We were seated on high "bar stool" seats. The food was simple but well cooked and delicious. There was a decent wine choice, too. We really enjoyed our experience and would recommend for an enjoyable, pleasant meal of reasonable portions.

The wine bar looks like a big living room, it has a very cosy and comfortable atmosphere. It is ideal for an apero before dinner or for a relaxing evening. We regret not having tried the brunch.The service is wonderful, we chose two glasses of red wine and a small degustation plate with cheese and ham. We enjoyed it very much

Lovely setting and offerings but no opportunity to order. It was busy at first but when two more waiters joined, the backlog was cleared. We ended up leaving. The waiter said he did not see us signal him although we did so three times. We also signaled the other two waiters and one said he would come over. Clearly he knew of our request for service since he acknowledged our request.

When you find a place like this that makes you smile long after you have left it brings some order to the sea of eating establishments in Boudreaux .This place run by an extremely enthusiastic wife and husband team serve superb wine and Charcuterie boards . Itâs food chosen with passion and knowledge evident when the produce is explained at the table . Itâs such a revelation to experience this in a cozy friendly and relaxed manner . The selected cheeses are so well matched with various hams, smoked Bresaola and other delights all served at the correct temperature and delivered with feeling and washed down with a glass or two of fine wine . Just perfect .

Man that was amazing. Every dish involves cheese but it's not always obvious. Great setting, good buzz to the place. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Food off the scale. I had beef tartare with comte, then some cheese ravioli served with a profound ham sauce. For desert I had a really cool dish of pear, stilton, and spéculoos (who knew ...)Wife (veggie) and daughter (fussy) equally delighted.This is the sort of restaurant that makes you want to go to France again and again.

What a cool little restaurant at which to dine. Very intimate setting but not intimidating. Friendly staff. They have a limited menu of small plates. We ordered four and shared them for dinner along with some Bordeaux wine. Easy to reach if you are staying in the old town area.

We found this place whilst looking for a pre concert snack and we could have stayed all night. They have a selection of very imaginative tapas (probably Basque as they call it Pinxos) at very reasonable prices and a good selection of SW France wines. It was full of locals (always a good sign) and the service was friendly, efficient and very informal. we would love to return and enjoy the ambience at leisure.
