Southwest of Seville, Jerez is a well-heeled place. It’s the home of the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and its famous dancing horses; if you’re on a budget or can’t be there for a formal performance, it’s worth dropping in to catch a morning training session. The other major reason to visit Jerez is to sample its most famous product—sherry. You can do this at a number of bodegas associated with the world’s best-known brands, including Bodegas Tio Pepe, The House of Sandeman, Jerez, and Pedro Domecq. They’ll soon have you knowing your amontillado from your oloroso. There’s also an Alcázar, dating back to the time of the Almohads, which features a small mosque, now the chapel of Santa María Real.

We chose a generous range of tapas rather than the tasting menu. Each one was excellent. There is an excellent range of sherry and other drinks to choose from. The staff were very helpful and friendly. On top of all this from Thursday to Sunday there is live flamenco music. Best to book a table in advance if you want to have a table.

We happened to walk past this place and liked the look of it. The whole experience was enjoyable. The interior is quirky and the food was delicious but not outstanding. The service was good, the price ok.

A brand-new concept where wine, food and service make the real essence of happiness. Come and enjoy with Kino and live the Tabankino experience!
Phoned to reserve a table 28th June and was told they're closed for summer - no further details given.Dear StephenSorry for not having offered you the option to enjoy the Tabankino experience at my place. During summertime I moved to Zahara de los Atunes to work in another different project but now I´m back and have restarted Tabankino. If you ever come back to Jerez it would be a pleasure to attend you and invite for a Sherry tasting. Best regards

Office of wines from 1925, with flavor to època, between barrels of good sherry, and a simple variety of traditional lids of the land, we are in the corazòn of the city between the Blue Rooster and the Theatre Villamarta. THE ONLY PLACE TO TASTE THE WINE
When in Jerez we always go to this Tavern for real, authentic, traditional food, drink, atmosphere and of course, the passion of live Flamenco, which is on every night at 9.30. Don't expect the staff to speak English, but expect amazing value and amazing entertainment. Tip: you must email in advance to book a table to eat. The alternative is to watch it free in a bit of a scrum from the bar.
