Drawing on a life that has taken him around the world, Francis Ford Coppola shares his favorite recipes at his wineryâs full-service restaurant.
Service was excellent but food was lackluster. Heirloom tomato salad had a few paper-thin slices of bland tomatoes, whole leaves of a nice lettuce. Pasta with broccoli rabe, sausage, red wine, etc. had about 1/2 cup of sauce standing in the bottom of the bowl. Not very flavorful but a good sized serving. Go for the view or some other dish on the menu.

This is one of our favorite Zinfandel producers and we always stop here when in the wine country. Quivera is known for their Zins and they are medium-bold by our tastes. There are bigger Zins in the area but this winery strikes a beautiful balance between bold and complex flavors. They also have gifts for sale and their season salt with the Pork recipe proved a hit with guests back home. Their wine glasses, in my opinion are the best in the entire Dry Creek area for displaying the complex flavors of the Zins. Highly recommended!

Gio, the owner/winemaker, took some time out of his busy day to show us his operation which we were very thankful for. Look for the red bench on top of the hill off of Dry Creek and enjoy the experience.
