La Tavina is a themed space of wine and local cuisine.Three floors that complete a building located in the Laurel Street entrance in which we can enjoy different wine consumption habits.A distinctive range of wines, to buy them or to drink them in any of
We wanted a sit down meal first night in Logrono to get our bearing before heading out the subsequent night for PINXOS! What really sold this place was the extensive wine list which where represented on the second floor of the building in a shop/wine bar from which you could choose with a small corkage. We made a reservation for 830 and arrived shortly after. Upon arrival we where told that three of their 8 entries where not available, and later worked out that the fish main that all of my group wanted was not available either in addition there where no specials... So their short menu was considerably shorter which was compounded as our group is pescaterian. We ended up ordering just three entres to share, as is the intention of the menu, entres to share. Ordered wine to accompany to be told it was not available also.It must be noted the whole time the staff where diligent and friendly although they didn't speak any English (which I don't mind at all as we got by with a mix of limited Spanish and French). In the end I was left with a feeling that they shouldn't have bothered opening on the Tuesday if they weren't committed to stocking for their menu.. It wasn't like the place was empty. Every seat in the restaurant and wine bar was occupied along with many coming and goings in the PINXOS bar down stairs. In the end the food was fair if not a little pricey. Three entres three glasses of wine and three bottles of water came in at 60euros including a small tip. I suppose what really annoyed me is that I went there to break the bank on an amazing bottle of preferably 2005 Rioja reserva, I was happy to pay over 50euro a bottle and because the menu was so limited I couldn't justify it...

A Laguardia local recommended Luis Alegre to us. We tried to get in on the Saturday but it was totally booked so went on the Sunday and arrived early. Fabulous service as we were the first to arrive. We had the 60E "Portiles menu", which seems expensive until you realise it comes with two bottles of amazing wine. It was a meal of anticipation as we went from starters through a really interesting chorizo-potato mousse type dish followed by a not-too salty and beautifully presented bacalao salad. The foie gras was exquisite served with a really interesting rosemary and apple puree. Next came the boletus soup which was poured over croutons at our table. I love mushroom soup and this was one of the best. The hake was served with a nutty sauce which lent it a superb texture, followed by a very tender steak. Pretty much full at this stage we both had the roasted salted pineapple with cardamon ice-cream to end. Delicious. What a find. One of the best meals we've had in Spain. Would definitely recommend booking this restaurant and taking a 10 minute walk down the hill from Laguardia, although the restaurant does have parking.

Stood in the bar for a couple og hours and had a good time eating and drinking my way through the selection of tapas and wine by the glass. You can order in the bar and carry the tapas and wine back to the table yourself, but I enjoyed the hectic atmosphere in the bar.One young waiter had a good level of english and were very serviceminded and helpful. The tapas generally are 2,70 ⬠a piece (Tuna Tataki was 3 ⬠and very good). Solomillo was also very good. All wines are by the glass and at the price range from approximately 2 ⬠to 7 â¬. For me - being the "hard to please" wine nerd that I am, only two wines were at the level that I like:2011 Roda 1 Reserva for 7,20 ⬠- a polished traditional Rioja entering maturity with fruit and well integrated tannins and the 2015 Pucheros de Paco Garcia for 5,20 ⬠- modernist Rioja with far less oak and focus on the clean fruity style. The wines are like night and day but they are both very well produced wines that represent the two styles of Rioja. Before I left the owner opened a bottle of 2003 Reserva from Marques de Murrieta to let me have a taste. Still very much drinkable with a long finish. I would come again...

Perfect place to enjoy pintxos with an extra detail. The service is quick, friendly and good. The food is tastefully and served beautiful. A perfect presentation and large choice of wine. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get. We had the Kobe beef medallions and the filled peppers with Jamon. Do not be scared of by the small roasted peppers, more flavour than spice. Very busy place but staff made an effort to speak the bit of English that they knew, we were impressed with both the quality of the food and the prices. Many good tapas in this area, but Torres Gastrobar stand out! Recommended for a visit.

The Villa-Lucia Wine Theme Centre is a multi-function space in a recreational estate of the historical spanish character of fabulist Felix Mª Samaniego of 10,000 m2, located in the town of Laguardia, in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa region, 10 minutes fr
Very good and varied menu, with a lot of vegetables from own and surrounding gardens. Lamb and young pork "cochinillo" were great, same for fish and meat dishes. House desserts are great. List of wines is long and at low to reasonable prices. All supported by a great and friendly service. A great restaurant option when visiting LaGuardiaThank you very much for choosing Villa-LucÃa to realize your lunch. Mouthwatering cuisine from local fresh produce . The restaurant is located in the exclusive setting of the 15th century wine cellars of the palace of the Duke of Najera. Food, Wine and History create a truly unique experience to enjoy any day of the week.
We liked the ambience of the restaurant a lot due to the unique mixture of old, but renovated building structure and the modern furniture style. And this was topped by the very friendly, professional and customer orientated waitress. One of us had started with an excellent Salat with goat cheese, and an almost rare cooked T-bone steak. The meat was nonetheless tender full of a wonderful taste. The other one had a regular mixed salad not on the menu with pork. Those was delicious. That altogether with the dessert and the Crianza local Rioja wine emade it a unique experience. Really lovely chatting with you guys. I'm really glad you had a great time and I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. Say hi to your brother for me. All the best
