Party of six outside on a beautiful evening. Restaurant service is a disaster. Waitress paid little attention to orders. The Hawaii sandwich ordered by one never arrived. The waiter said the kitchen missed the sandwich but it would be here shortly. Came back later and said it would be a while. Everyone had finished eating. Manager gave a half hearted apology. Everyone was stunned with the insincere approach. They did offer the sandwich in a to go bag at no charge. Was surprised at how unprofessional the approach of the restaurant was. Understand mistakes are made in service businesses but t Chetola was unacceptable.Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, Ken. I lived in Boone over a year without noticing this place, and regretted my entire second year of living there that I had not found it sooner! Anytime I had an our of town visitor I took them to Basils. The food is fantastic, the staff is great and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relatively calm compared to a lot of other Boone restaurants. I did my best to try a little of everything on their menu. From pasta, to sandwiches, to flatbreads, everything they make is fantastic. I can't recommend this place enough and miss it now that I've left town.Thanks for reviewing us! No question, this place is the new King of the Hill in the NC High Country for food. Exquisite, creative, like your first Indian - there's nothing to compare. Attentive and knowledgeable staff about the food and wine. Be prepared to pay and wait; 30 mins before my first drink appeared - similarly long gaps for the grub, so make sure your cc's loaded and you're not in a rush, so you can enjoy yourself without inhibition. Also, if you're deaf (or want to be), choose outside.
