This place is very unique. It is an open air wine tasting terrace with traditional Hungarian cold plates like local bread, sausages and cheese. The wines were all fine and the cheese plate as well. There are 3 small houses in the estate where you can stay and there is small pool in the middle of the vineyard which is peculiar. :-) You must drop in here the landscape was fantastic. There is also a small look-out tower from where we were gazing the mountains and the vineyards while sipping a glass of fantastic red wine. Any questions?

Kedves (St. Andrea wines) is a winery located in the Valley of the Beautiful Women, in the surroundings of Eger. It is one of the many wineries located here. For me, it is special: the place is very modern and comfortable, and we came here to taste some wines (3 white ones, 3 red ones and 1 sweet one) and all of them were wonderful! Also we can eat cheeses and cured sausages: all was fantastic.Probably, it is one of the most expensive wineries in the Valley, but it is the best! A top winery in Hungary, and probably in Europe!(See also The Valley of the Beautiful Women)

My wife and I travel to Eger about once a year. We have eaten at many restaurants in this charming city during the past decade and we were pleasantly surprised to experience this new addition to the food scene. Wow! Service, food, decor all pop with goodness. Loved it.

Our family group of 18 visited Petreny on a Friday night after a day of cycling. We took up two tables in a side room and a wonderful evening tasting many of Petreny's wines and learning about the region's wines with our hostess. We all enjoyed the night and were very well treated!

We had the pleasure of visiting Fuzio in August and in December. Their unique architecture blends a 500-year-old wine cellar with a sleek, modern wine bar, and provides a relaxing ambiance for tasting the excellent wines. This is a family business, started by Gal Tibor, Hungary's Winemaker of the Year in 1998, who died in a traffic accident in 2005. His children expertly carry on his legacy in their vineyards, winemaking, and wine bar. On both visits we ordered Mediterranean and Hungarian tapas plates, and chose seven wines to taste. We then ordered additional glasses of wines that we favored. The wines are not only some of the best in Hungary; they can compete with any well-rated wine in the world. Fuzio is a wonderful experience for any wine lover.
