Very disappointing and expensive meal. Tasteless kingfish to begin. $16.50 for a plate of salty shoe string fries. Slider was ok. Lamb shanks were very bland. Garden salad was also salty. Once main plates were cleared I had to ask a waiter to clean the table of salad overspill. Poor value for $180/ couple

Medhurst Wines is a boutique wine label with cellar door and cafe located in their vineyards in the Yarra Valley, Australia.
This is a smaller winery in the yarra valley but surely one of the best. Great cellar door with Richard who is very interesting and entertaining. Fabulous stories to tell. Wonderful views and most importantly the wines are wonderful. Would highly recommend it.

The 2013 CabSav was good! The food ... it was as if a master chef had left pictures on the kitchen wall and a lesser cook was copying them. My starter was a smidgen of lamb that only tasted like meat. I had to send my main (duck) back but the returned dish was quite good, except the fat was soggy. The selection of cheese was limited and the petite fours seemed to have been made a few days ago. The wait staff were young and inexperienced. We'd dined at this restaurant a few years ago and I felt the quality had gone down a tad. Having said all this, the place was packed and I didn't notice anyone with a dissatisfied look on their face.
