What do you do if you are a casual traveler, like to explore and get excited with simplicity and originality in Aqui Terme ? If it is a hot mid afternoon day, do some window shopping, buy some locally produced mushroom and enjoy yourself with your friends sitting in the comfortable Clos Vineria where you stimulate your appetite with a 'tagliere' and a glass of white wine from its prestigious selection. The place is so comfortable that you want to linger and keep on carrying your conversation with your friends. I had the 'Riso Venere, Burrata, Verdure di Stagione e Cracker Integrale.' Not only it was healthy but it also satisfied my fancy for the innovative and creative twist. 8 euros? An absolute bargain. The entire menu offers unusual dishes not found any other place. On my next trip to Italy, Aqui Terme, a nice hot bath, and a lunch at Clos Vineria will be a must destination.

We arrived in nizza monferrato from villa nova d'asti and came across this restaurant via the enoteca shop in the centre. Really good shop By the way!!!We turned up at 7.30 and were far from disappointed. The food was lovely ,service was excellent and the wine list fantastic and was not expensive . we had brema 2009 which was superb and would no doubt have cost in excess of £70 back in the ukYou have to visit this unassuming but great restaurant with a really friendly knowledgeable and enthusiastic sommelier

This wine bar is new and is situated right at the beginning of the walking street. There is indoor or outdoor seating and a nice, fairly priced selection of wines by the glass. These are served with aperitivo (light, tasty snacks). The host is friendly and helpful, and the shop sells local food specialties that would make great treats/gifts to take home. Well worth a stop after a walk about in Acqui Terme.

Please do not visit the place hoping for a good dinner/lunch. Its a wine shop - they sell and allow one to try wine! But it is a very nice place. Cozy. Very friendly staff. And with a great selection of regional wines. Would come back and choose a few bottles to take home anytime again!!

It doesn't happen to us very often, maybe once every five years, but sometimes we get stung. Our dinner at La Curia was a major disappointment. We ordered the aperitif tray which was a reasonable selection of salami, mortadella, cheese and a somewhat non descript vegetable flan concoction. For starters my wife ordered a stuffed courgette flower and I chose a calamaretti dish which was served on a mashed puree potato base with basil. After forty seven minutes, twice asking the waitress to please see if our starters were being prepared (the restaurant had 13 quests where we were sitting) the dish arrived with profuse excuses: it was complicated, it took time, etc. Rubbish. Absolutely rubbish. We live in the south of France where filled courgette flowers are a staple of every restaurant. We make them; they take 9 minutes if you have the farce prepped and since it was a standard a la carte item we assumed the farce was prepped. Our mains came and they were singularly uninspiring. My wife's veal cheek was banal. My cannelloni with capanaata veggies and prawns was not a challenging dish. The veggies were tired and over cooked and the binder appeared to be the same as used with my calamaretti. The prawns were fresh. We had open wines, a Langhe white and a Nebbuilo. The bill was an eye popping E99. Compared to subsequent meals in Acqui Terme, it was outrageously expensive and very mediocre. When a guest has to remind the serving person TWICE to follow up in the kitchen there is something wrong. As I said, we got stung. Whitebeard83

We just loved everything about this little charming restaurant. The food is delicious, cooked and presented very well, with a diverse and uncomplicated menu, such a cosy atmosphere and fast happy staff. What more do you want?! The portions are adequate and the prices reasonable. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant early in your trip if you are staying a few days as I'm sure you will want to eat there again.

Without any pretension the food served was just delicious. All products were locals. Very well cooked. The antipasti, pasta, gnocci, tagliata and the dolce were amazing with lot of taste. The owner Daniele and his team were very sympathetic. He took time to explain us the stories of the wine of his wine list and as well to give us some address for wine producers. Really nice family moment! We warmly recommend this restaurant.
