Used this Wetherspoons lots of times. The food and service have always been superb. We tend to eat early evening, but I know the bar gets busy late evening around the weekends. Can't fault the service we have received, and the good has always been good.

Simply the best views, food and drink around. A friendly, community-focused pub. There has been a hostelry on the site since the 14th century at least, catering for pilgrims making their way to Valle Crucis Abbey near Llangollen.
Still a great location and perfect in the summer. However - under new management who seems doesn't seem too keen on being customer friendly. It also explains why, after numerous attempts, trying to organise an event here wasn't being responded. Luckily there are still some friendly faces behind the bar.

We booked last minute and although we have eaten here many times before we have not been since it has been redecorated. The look was lovely and the food was good too. A really nice atmosphere was created by having the singer/guitarist entertaining us too.

This lovely, bright cafe adjoins Nightingale House Hospice. Itâs run by volunteers who are always pleasant and helpful. There is a good range of choices on the menu and the food is always nicely presented and tasty. We usually call in for lunch and have never been disappointed. Thank you!

17th Century riverside pub. Recently reopened after 7 months of renovation and refurbishment Specialising in game, seafood and spice alongside all the pub classics we aren't just a place to eat freshly cooked food, we now have a much larger bar area for t
Sitting out enjoying some autumnal sunshine looking over the fast-flowing river Dee was a delight. However we sat inside in the original bar room with a blazing range; cosy and atmospheric. We enjoyed devilled kidneys and fish cakes from the light bite menu, and I also had some very tasty oysters. Looking forward to returning for a full evening meal. Only reason I didnât award 5stars is Iâd like to see how it rates for dinner on a busy night. Do go though, the refurb has been sympathetically done and there canât be many other pubs with such a lovely setting .Hi there,Thank you for your recent review, we're delighted that you enjoyed your experience and like the refurb. We're keeping everything crossed that we get 5 stars on your evening visit.

We had 6 dishes from the tapas menu and they were all gorgeous as well as being well-presented. We also had the Shiraz which was very good. The service was excellent: attentive without being intrusive. I would definitely return and would recommend this restaurant.

We visited on Friday evening. The place was full and buzzing, but the service was excellent and the meal was lovely. My wife and I both had the Steak suet pudding with vegetables. I asked for different vegetables to that shown on the menu, and this wasnât a problem. Great service.

We were staying under canvas locally, and when we saw the weather forecast, we asked if we could change our booking from Thursday to Friday. They managed to squeeze us in, and I was so pleased because the food was excellent. We had a lovely meal that we all enjoyed, and if we lived more locally, we would certainly visit again.

Such a cosey and comfortable feel at lunch today . I had the liver and bacon with onion gravy , mash and peas . The liver was so tasty and tender which was not like my childhood school memories of and love but rarely make it myself , so a real treat . Very friendly staff , laid back soft music and great mix of china tea cups ! Fantastic value in a lovely environment ...
