My wife and I, together with son and his family (total7 adults plus a dog) ate in the conservatory section of this restaurant on Wednesday 31st July 2019. When we were given the menu were told that some dishes we unavailable due to staff shortages. One of our party wanted a vegetarian meal but this was not available so the waitress offered to ask chef if a vegetarian dish could be prepared after all. A quick and positive answer was received, drinks were served, and after a reasonably short time, seven piping hot and beautifully presented meals were served up. The food was delicious - all agreed, and the same was said of the deserts. all members of staff were very customer centred and friendly, the atmosphere was excellent and we would not hesitate to eat here again, should we be in the Llangollen area in the future.

Booked a table here recently for a family sunday lunch. Enjoyed a pleasant lunch at a reasonable price. Roast potatoes where a bit underdone and one of our party was served a small portion instead of a full size one, but was soon rectified by the staff. Would dine here again though.

The sun Trevor is a local establishment in the Derbyshire area of Llangollen that is the most welcoming and homely environment you can find. All people and dogs are welcome and the food is superb. The wood panelled Wine Bar's character is largely unchanged from the original 9 table experience back in the 70âs. It now boasts 20 tables but still works on the foundations of great food using the best local ingredients and wine expertly picked to offer
Beautiful food and fantastic, friendly service. We're not from the area so just went by the reviews, they certainly weren't wrong, so glad we went! We were celebrating our anniversary so wanted something a bit special and Gales didn't disappoint. Everything was so nice, such a great place! We especially enjoyed the sharing starters where you can pick various meats and cheeses. Our meals; the special of the day lamb and ox cheek linguine were gorgeous! If we're back in the area again we'll be sure to visit.

Traditional tea rooms set in the old town square of Llangollen called 'Ham and Egg square'. We are dog-friendly in our large outside seating area which is also ideal for cyclists and walkers. We have a recently updated menu and are now fully licensed, ser
The place looks like a pretty cottage with tables inside & out. As we walked through the gate we were spotted by a waitress who greeted us with a smile even though she was carrying plates of food to a table. We chose to sit inside & as we walked in, we were greeted again, with more smiles. The place is very welcoming. My partner ordered the cooked breakfast, which is served until 2pm, while I ordered soup & a cheese & pickle sandwich. We both asked for tea which which came as loose tea with a strainer - a nice touch. The breakfast looked decent and, according to my partner, was tasty & more than enough for her. My soup was lentil & was delicious, properly seasoned & not bland like some cafe soup can be. My sandwich was packed with cheese & they werenât stingy with the pickle either! The cost was around £16 in total. All in all we enjoyed our lunch & as we left we were thanked by the staff.

Seasonal British restaurant and bar championing local Welsh produce with international flavours, carefully selected wine list, craft ales, cocktail and gin bar.
I can see why this restaurant is no 1 in Llangollen. The Sunday roast beef we had was plentiful very tasty and cooked to perfection as it was very rare. Plenty of vegetables and roast potatoes as well as a huge Yorkshire pudding. Fantastic service and great ambience. Not often I am full after one course! Will go back to eat during the week as the normal menu looks fantastic.
