We attended for Motherâs Day. Absolutely faultless from start to finish. Paul and Debbie and their staff couldnât have been nicer. Food and setting was sublime, as always. Best roast dinner (vegetarian) Iâve eaten. We were amazed when the told us theyâd done 250 covers that day. The staff were so friendly and the food was so well cooked and presented. Best pub food for miles and miles around.

Seasonal British restaurant and bar championing local Welsh produce with international flavours, carefully selected wine list, craft ales, cocktail and gin bar.
Lovely people serving, food was exceptional, probably the best fillet steak I've had anywhere and the dessert was also great. The young lady looking after us on our table should be very proud of herself for her customer skills (I think her name was Beth, apologies if not). We were a group of various ages but all of us were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food.

We called in last night for dinner, immediately we were made to feel welcome and told to find a table. We ordered drinks, shepherds pie and haddock & chips. The food arrived tasty and hot. There were lots of people enjoying the food, locals and tourists, even for the 1st week in September. The pub is dog friendly and saw the land lord give the dogs a treat, which is a nice gesture.Overall a good local pub, friendly and good food.
Nice little pub with a few unusual features like the old fashioned juke box. Great pool table and a pretty good pint too!

The Bison Grill Bistro produces all its meals from scratch using Rhug Organic's own award winning meat and was recently named the "Best on Farm Restaurant" in the UK by the FARMA organisation. The restaurant is headed up by talented head Chef Elliot Knox
Visited with family for Sunday lunch, luckily we had booked a table as the restaurant was busy. Everyone enjoyed the three courses, including the children who ordered from the childrenâs menu. Good service. Will be visiting again. The only negative points were the tables being sticky & the bell to tell the servers food was ready to collect from kitchen was slightly annoying as it was busy!

Visited Planhigion Glyndwr for the first time today with my daughter and grandchildren. We all enjoyed delicious lunches in the busy cafe. The menu is extensive, the food nicely presented and tasty, and the service really good. The wet weather meant we could only take a brief look at the many wonderful plants on sale. A return visit is on the cards!

We were two couples and stayed overnight (see separate review). The place is quite beautiful and we were lucky with the weather so the afternoon started with a cup of tea outside. The hostess greeted us warmly and made us welcome and before long it was gin and tonics for all in the comfortable lounge, which had plenty of discrete seating areas. Our dietary requirements had been carefully noted and our hostess discussed the menu and our choices - we had the £70 (with optional 10% added). The canapes that arrived with the drinks were stunning and generous. One of us had two starters (extra salad made for her), one veal chop, one lamb chop and I had Wild Bass, starting with Parfait of Foie Gras. The menu had nice variation and the quantities were generous. If I had to criticise I thought the variety of vegetable and their presentation could have been better but the cooking was first class.Excellent wine list helped and petit fours (more like grand fours! See photo) with coffee in the lounge finished a super evening.I've seen some of the other reviewers' criticisms and honestly don't recognise them

We met a friend for a few drinks & ordered food as we were hungry. The steak was lovely & the chips were spot on! Ended up staying & having a few drinks with the locals, what a great atmosphere & completely welcomed.

We hadn't been to the Berwyn since May this year, but wanted to celebrate Kev's Birthday and what better place, than where we were sure of excellent service, delicious food, refreshments served at the right temperature. Ivor in the kitchen and Debbie working her charm on the customers. Kev a d I had Half a Duck served in a Black Cherry Sauce, the Ladies had the Chicken from the Specials Board and then we all had a Sweet from the Eighteen specials. As they say a Sweet to Die For. Specially made by Ivor. Well we'll be back again soon.
