WOW, this truly is a wonderful hotel. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome by the staff, and the locals in the bar. The hotel is clean, immaculately decorated. The rooms are very comfortable, nice fluffy towels and the shower is so nice. Full English (Welsh) Breakfast will keep you going all day... and the eggs were so fresh.... Dinner now I am not one to priase but our dinner was excellent, cooked our steaks to perfection, and the chips were so tasty.Staff each member of staff was friendly, cheeful and helpful, and the whole area was kept spotless. Outside seating area is lovely again clean and welcoming.

Itâs with a heavy heart I write this review as this has been me and my partners favourite place to eat for many years.we had food here a few weeks ago for the first time since the former owner Declan who was always a great host sold the restaurant. As we arrived everything went fine at first as we had a nice pint from the newly installed pumps but alarm bells soon started ringing as the one couple behind us walking out before ordering not sure why and another couple had to send there steak back twice and also complained about the apple crumble on the way out never the less we order our food I had steak my partner had gammon which was ok but come only with chips and a small garnish of lettuce but desserts was were it all went really bad I ordered toffee sponge pudding and custard and my partner ordered maple syrup waffle and ice cream which had to be sent back as it came with just a plain waffle and bland ice cream with no maple syrup sauce once it came back from the kitchen it was drowned in the sauce and gave us the same waffle back that he had taken a spoonful of but wasnât edible after all that sauce had been added, my pudding was also bad and the custard was all lumpy tasted like cheap instant custard and the pudding was a microwave one despite only taking a bite out of the pudding and leaving over half of the waffle the waitress didnât ask what was wrong with it when she came to collect the plates we had to complain about it but she just said ok il tell the chef and nothing more was said or done and all still on the bill. Itâs just a sad day for us as this has always been a 10/10 in the past.

Staff were friendly & helpful. The pub is a delightfully warm & cosy place & worth finding. ample car parking across the road. Although we had a table in the bar it was still quite comfortable. A little wait for the 1st course. Prawn cocktail was delicious but a little too much salad & not enough sauce. Steaks were tender & delicious, just a little over-seasoned for us. That may be just our taste though. Chips were just lovely. Desserts were nice too. I thought great price all in @ £57. Here steaks were ranging around £17 where at most other places they come in around £23 so absolute bargain. We will definitely visit again.
Myself and my daughter had Sunday Lunch. The cafe is on an estate. Donât be put off by this. We were blown away by the interior decoration. Service was quick and the cafe is licensed. The food is all homemade with fresh vegetables and homemade real gravy. Highly recommend.

Little things spoil my visits here. No sugar or napkins brought with my latte. Shouldn't have to go back to the counter to ask. Coffee is decent enough. Outside sitting area very pleasant and the building is splendid. Really like what they have done with the place. It's the second best in town after Dolce Deli

We went for dinner with family. It was tremendous. I had the Halibut with scallops, mash, blackpudding etc. Which was amazing! The fish was pure white and cooked perfectly. My husband had the rop steak with pepper sauce which he said was perfectly cooked. It was with triple cooked chips and he asked for rosemary & parmesan on them...mm, mm.My sister in la6 had fillet steak which was perfect too. A way burger was had by my brother in law which was he said was the Best Budher he'd Ever Had!!!!So well done to chef. 2 of us decided to share a cheese board, but it was disappointing and a bit mean. There were only 2 small bits of cheese. So please give more cheese. Crackers could have been a bit more interesting as well. When back on wales again wiil definitely visit again!

We had a wonderful evening meal in the restaurant. The staff could not do enough to make sure we had everything we wanted. They made recommendations and suggestions on what to have. The food itself was filling and delicious. We also tasted the amazing desserts- the chocolate orange cheesecake hit the spot! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
