This is located almost opposite the popular Pakse Hotel where I have stayed a few times in the last 6 months. I have always found this is a pleasant place to drink tea or beer and to people watch. Plenty of outside tables and chairs. I have only eaten there a couple of times but the food was more than acceptable and not expensive and I should have eaten there more. The lady in charge is friendly and efficient and always remembers me from previous visits. Unfortunately, on my last visit I found the two young girls who help out to be on the unhelpful side. One of them ignored me when I beckoned her over in order to place a further order - having looked straight at me, she promptly disappeared into the inside area. When they were playing with their phones, customers had no chance of being noticed!
This restaurant is in a beautifully restored colonial building more reminiscent of Luang Prabang than Pakse. The menu is not extensive but covers European and Asian food. I only had a spaghetti carbonara this time and it was excellent. The steaks and other meats look appetizing and I'll be back for one of them on my next visit. Each table has a button for calling for service or paying your bill, I'm amazed I've never seen this anywhere else it seems so obvious.
Phubachiang Restaurant and Swimming Pool The restaurant is built on the bank of Houy Yangkham stream over looking the 18th green and Phu Bachiang Mountain view in the background. Moreover, you can enjoy the pool
Really calm and nice place a bit outside of town. Good for a one night stay around the bolaven plateau! Very friendly staff and good service! They organized a motorbike for the area as well and I bought a discount ticket for the tad fane zipline!
A family run business that has operated within Dao Hueang Market for over 16 years. We offer a fine selection of Asian meals along with all produce bought locally and fresh.
