As Iâm sensitive to added MSG in food I couldnât enjoy a banquet with my friends here. I really donât understand why chefs/cooks need to add MSG to their dishes particularly in Vietnamese cuisine. Is it really that necessary?!!!I will never return here and NNQ Express at Grange is even worse and told me all their dishes have added MSG. Very disappointing.

Visited following recommendation. Itâs in a very interesting building formerly Rosemont Hall which is divided into 2 halves one side Sunnyboy with a Chinese restaurant (Mr Chan). For lunch only one register is used so you order thru that. We shared some prawn dumplings which were excellent. My main mussaman curry had great flavours and was ample. The crispy pork was also excellent. Moderate prices well worth the visit. The only downer was drinks service which was too slow.

Favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Adelaide ! Small restaurant so can get a bit noisy. Booking a table is essential to avoid disappointment as it is always busy. Their sugarcane juice and young tender coconut are refreshing. Their BBQ Quail is a must try. My favourite is their combination rice hot pot, soft shell crab and their quail. Their pho is also good . Portions are quite big so can be shared.

Our grand daughter wanted to celebrate her 20th Birthday at the Vietnamese Mai Kitchen Restaurant so not having eaten Vietnamese food before,we went with some trepidation. We need not have worried as the food was excellent and great value. The service was good and the meals were served quickly.I had the garlic prawns, stir fried vegetables served and a steaming hot plate and my wife had Lemon Chicken whichj she thoroughly enjoyed.Do not be put off by the outside appearance of the restaurant as the inside is well presented and quite large. So from now on we will be eating more Vietnamese food and certainly be going back to Mai Kitchen Restaurant.
