Had just arrived into Prato on a Sunday and was starving at lunchtime. Wasn't much opened, but after walking for a while, found Lapo. Think I was the only tourist in the establishment. Diverse group of people from small family's after Sunday mass, to young couples, to group of men having a reunion. The decor was simple but very inviting. Wait staff was very friendly even though they were very busy, so the clientele were happy to help themselves to bread and olive oil from the counter. The food portions were very generous. I ordered pasta for primi for only 6â¬. Then I had pork shank for 7â¬. So together with wine and salad, the total was 20â¬. There was enough food to feed 2 or 3 people. The food was tasty and very authentic, but nothing fancy. Would recommend for families or casual meal.

I will give this place another chance because it has a very good reputation. Some client sent me there and told me to order Acqua Cotta e acciughe marinate but I was deluded for both the plates. They were very simple and absolutely nothing special. Will try to order something else next time. As my first impression is nothign so great.

Everything started out great with some fabulous fritters which were kind of like hush puppies and some tasty bruschetta con fegato. But then I was served Baghino raviolo which was a large raviolo underneath lurid green sauce. (See picture), daughter had tepid gnocchetti with gorgonzola, but husband was pleased with the seppie. We finished off with some vin santo and biscotti. I would suggest you order better than I did.

Love this place! Came here with my other half and his brother (both from Prato) and had one of the best Italian meals. The food was authentic and cooked to perfection. I had the pici and funghi for primo followed by Baccala` as my main. The brothers had an antipasto platter full of their favourite meats, pici with ragu and the rabbit dish. The service was attentive and friendly and we were given a lot of suggestions. My other half couldnât stop talking about the rabbit for at least 2 days! Thatâs how good it was he says! So good that he went again the following week! I would definitely go again on my return to Prato!! :)

This family-run restaurant was recommended by the owner at our B&B and we were really pleased we went there. The pasta is delicious and the service was lovely too. Our waitress offered us English menus and translated the specials menu for us. It's a fun, quirky looking restaurant. We sat outside in the colourful 'terrace' bit. I would happily go back here.Happy to have you satisfied. See you soon.

The Antica Trattoria Galceti, at the foot of Monferrato, in the province of Prato, welcomes costantement and, with healthy and tasty recipes. We are aware that the delicacy of a dish is derived primarily from the quality of the raw materials that are used
We stumbled onto this restaurant thanks to Trip Advisor. We made a last minute reservation for the 7 of us (grandparents, parents and 3 kids ages 10-12). The staff are lovely. They donât speak English but we made it work with poor English and poor Italian - and it was worth it because the food was incredible. Zucchini flowers were the best Iâve had, pizzas were delicious and the pastas were fantastic. And the desserts were great (especially the panna cotta with dark chocolate sauce). It was a bit warm inside - could have used a fan, but the restaurant is lovely.

Came here as part of a large group which had a pre-ordered menu so we didn't get to pick- however no worries as everything was delicious. A selection of starters and mains all served really hot and without exception were really tasty. Would definitely come back here to personal dine.
