Thai with friends for food and fun! Located on the bustling Friary Street, Thaikhun transports you away from Guildford and takes you to Thailand with a unique train theme running through out. Grab a cocktail from our train carriage bar and head back along
Have eaten at Thaikun before and enjoyed. Returned on a Sunday evening but unfortunately didnât have such a good experience. The coke I ordered was flat, I asked politely for a replacement, of which was also flat - got a shrug and was told âsorry about thatâ.Ordered dumplings to start. These were inedible. I loveeeeee dumplings of all kinds but these were in essence, extremely smelly, fishy (?) pork meatballs - couldnât even stomach one between the two of us. Mentioned this when the food was collected and we were just told theyâd inform the chef. Didnât take them off our bill (£7).Panang curry was the saving grace - great flavour. We waited another 20+ mins after our food was cleared to be offered desert menus or the chance to ask for the bill.Sadly wonât be going back.Khop Khun Kha (thank you) Riannabrooke for taking the time to share your review with us. Here at Thaikhun Guildford, we strive to provide Ha Dao (5* service) and pride ourselves in serving Khun Kim's traditional Thai dishes. This does not sound like our ususal high standards. I would like to discuss your visit further, please feel free to contact me directly on [email protected] Regards, Thaikhun Guildford

Having eaten here several times, and had many take always my wife and I were looking forward to taking her sister, who is a big fan of Thai food for an evening meal. Unfortunately, just like the takeaway food, the restaurant food has also deteriorated badly. My wife and I both had a steamed sea bass main course. The fish was dry and tasteless, nothing like Thai food at all. It was as if the fish had been kept in a freezer for months and then defrosted in a microwave. The Thai green curry was also terrible. The chicken was jelly like and again tasteless. We didnât want to make a fuss at the time as it was supposed to be a treat. But Iâm afraid we wonât be going back. This place once served really authentic and fresh Thai food. Unfortunately what they serve now bears no resemblance to genuine Thai food.

It is a real locals pub with lovely food served by Pa herself. We had a delicious mixed starter followed by red and green Thai curries. All cooked with fresh ingredients. The Bisley locals are a great bunch who are always up for a friendly chat and always make a fuss of our Staffy dog. The beer is well kept. Background music great. Hard to fault it.

Made a few orders when the restaurant first opened and had trouble with the delivery. Since then I regularly order food and have it delivered every time with absolutely no issues. They have my address saved on the system and it's a very smooth transaction. Much improved service and the food excellent as always.
