My wife and I were in Buffalo to visit our daughter and to see our four grandkids. Our 8 year old granddaughter was playing basketball and we wanted to see her progress. But first dinner. Our daughter chose this place because she knew everyone could find something to eat. She was right. The black rice California Roll was a highlight for me. Very tasty. The volcano appetizer was also quite good. I did not care much for the Burmese chicken curry. I thought it was rather surprisingly bland. My wife had the seafood fried rice and she was fully thrilled with it. Nothing was bad, just average food. Glad we tried it though.

Six of us had dinner. Everyone ordered a different menu item. We all loved our food. I didnât give 5 stars because the bathroom was messy. We will definitely go back.

Passing thru Buffalo, overnight stay, we had dinner at this Saigon Bangkok restaurant. Recommended by our hotel personnel, it was some distance from our hotel. We had WonTon soup, curry chicken w/ vegetables and Fried Rice, Jasmin tea. The Chef must be complemented, the dishes were just cooked right, fresh! The soup was very good! We had a very nice and delicious dinner! The place was airy and well appointed dinning room, pleasant and w/ welcoming feel. It was worth finding Saigon Bangkok, we might be back on another trip.

"Refreshing Thai cuisine".
I had the sesame chicken which was average, too sweet and rubbery for my taste, almost like fried rubber bands in sweet sauce. The rest of the party with me had sesame seafood (shrimp and scallops). Scallops were raw and shrimp had a strong seafood smell even through the sauce. Didn't even finish a quarter of it. Other person had the seafood pad thai, came out cold and very unappealing because it was so starchy and stuck together as one ball of noodles. She had to cut it and eat it like pieces of pie. 4th person in our party had vegetable pad thai which she liked, no complaints about it. Server was very nice and dining room seemed clean. Would not return here as the food was far below what we paid for and doesn't seem worth returning for another below average experience.

Orchid is overall, ok. You'll get your food quick and it's not badly priced. It tastes decent enough as well, however you get what you pay for. I suggest to not come to Orchid if you want to buy a hot/non-sushi meal (especially if you're going to be ordering Japanese). I ordered what I usually order at any Japanese Restaurant I go to, a Bento Box, however the Bento Box I ordered at Orchid wasn't that great. Mainly, the tempura was soggy and drenched with oil. Furthermore, the shrimp/fish/whatever dumplings that came with it seemed as if they came out of a box but I am not sure. Either way, if you want cheap food that comes out quick, come here. If you're looking for something of a little more higher quality, go elswhere.
