My husband and I went to RICE for the first time and were very impressed. It is a small restaurant right in front of the train station in Mystic. It looks like in the warmer weather there would be seating outside. We ordered Summer Rolls, a vegetarian sauté with Ginger Sauce and Massaman Curry with Chicken. The Summer Rolls were very good and artistically presented. Instead of being served with a hoisin/peanut sauce, it was served with a carrot sauce. While I love the hoisin sauce, this was very good and went very well with the summer rolls. The Veggies in Ginger Sauce was amazing. There were a lot of different veggies: Baby Bok Choy, lotus root, and what I was told was pumpkin, (it didn't taste like a squash, but delicious nonetheless) and a lot of other veggies like snow peas, carrot, onion, broccoli, cauliflower. My husband's Massaman Curry was also very good. It was served in a large bowl and had generous chunks of onion, potato and also pumpkin. There was a lot of sauce which he added his rice and mine. The entrees come with Jasmine rice, and for $2 more you can get sticky or brown rice. In addition to Thai food, they serve Sushi. We went at an off time, and I have heard the service can be slow, but when we were here, the service was fine. We will definitely go back.

My wife and I enjoyed the CLASSIC THAI COMBO lunch served with spring roll. We both chose KEE MOW ($12.00) w/fresh rice noodles, Chinese broccoli, prik pow and basil. Having lived in Thailand, I can attest to the authentic ingredients and presentation. Donny, our host and server, was congenial and efficient. Eating at Aroy Thai Cuisine took me back to the 1970's when I had daily meals at a local family restaurant adjacent to Ko Kha Air Force Base, Lampang. Highly recommended. AHAN AROY MAK (The food is DELICIOUS).

Small and inconspicuous in size and location, but large on food choices with detailed information. My husband and I each ordered different appetizers and soups all of which were excellent especially the Curry Puffs and the Tom Yum soup. We split the Chef's Choice entree, enough for two, and thoroughly enjoyed it. This was a first time visit but not the last. They are a BYOB restaurant and will take reservations which is a good thing since seating is limited.

We visited on a Thursday evening for a light dinner. Everything was good. Spring rolls, summer rolls, curry puffs served as appetizers. Massaman curry for the main course. Very good flavors and good balance in all that we had. Good vegetarian options as well for one of our party. Reasonably priced. Good drinks options of cocktails, beer and wine. Overall I would recommend.

The food has been great.service is great.quality is great. lots of greats but it fits this place. parking on the street or at the train station and just walk across the street.I love the fried chicken and the rice is made just right. We neglected to make a reservation for dinner on a holiday weekend Saturday evening. After a long (tho enjoyable) day in scorching heat touring Mystic Seaport, we called several restaurants, only to find out everywhere was booked solid. Eventually we found Pink Basil, they had availability, and we love Asian food, so it was perfect. We started with the Scorpion Bowl (first time since college!) and had the lettuce and chicken appetizer, Pad Thai, Chicken Ginger and Bok Choy, and everything was delicious. The restaurant was very crowded, they didn't have enough servers, so service was a little slow, but it was fine. The restaurant was clean, the drinks were strong, and the food was very solid. I have only good things to say about Pink Basil.
