Our restaurant and bakery offer all kinds of delicious baked goods and fresh vegetarian and vegan options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From refreshing fruit shakes and fruit salads to pancakes and homemade granola and yogurt and from traditional Thai
This place offers good selection of cakes/desserts (such as chocolate, banana and carrot) and breads. Apart from these, they have a menu in English language serving vegetarian Thai and Western cuisine. There's a brief introduction on the front page of menu sharing the causes this bakery/restaurant dedicates to; the village women and displaced children from Burma and Thailand. A souvenir corner on one side selling hand woven pouch, wallets and tops, a great place to relax/chill if you want some peace.
We stumbled across the delightful Chuen Jai House by chance. Trip Advisor's Sangkhlaburi eating options are minimal, to say the least, and we had grown tired of the lack of warmth from the staff at P Guesthouse, where we were staying, and wandered down the road in search of other places. Turn right out of P Guesthouse, then first left and first right and, within 5 minutes you'll spot the tiny café/shop of Chuen Jai. It's a simple guesthouse itself, but we stopped by for a drink initially, and were so charmed by the kind, gentle family that run it that we returned for dinner. There are only 4 tiny tables, and we were the only diners, but we had a memorable meal from the full menu of super fresh Thai food, cooked with evident love and care, and served with genuine smiles. And low prices too. A peach of a place.

Great food from thai to Burmese to western. All so good and cheap prices. With a very relaxed atmosphere and macaroni and cheese alone making your mouth water. Jimmy is a big American guy that always has time for you whether is is chilling on the table next to you or in the hammock he is always up for talking or just making sure your meal is as good as possible. Food takes a long time to come but you expect that as all the food is freshly prepared. Been there many times and intend to keep going.

The owner is currently refurbishing the place apart from the restaurant and I presume the kitchen or else they wouldnât be serving food. It looks like he demolished the main building and is starting to rebuild from scratch as there is only the concrete beams standing. The soup served here is obviously from a packet as they donât cook it long enough and you still get dry bits. The food is obviously frozen and defrosted to order but not always defrosted completely so not properly cooked when served. Perhaps the cook needs to learn to use a microwave properly. With two of their main competitors on this road now closed . On the good side, the staff are pleasant but I would prefer surly staff and edible food.
We stayed at Samprasob resort and were not impressed with the hotel however the restaurant was wonderful! Food is fresh and delicious with prompt and friendly service. The pad krapow gai is wonderful as is the pak pak bung (a kind of stir fried greens). Worth the visit!
